Language differences

I was wondering how wrestlers communicate to each other in the ring when they are from different language speaking countries?

For instance when Goldberg recently went to Japan, how did they call spots to each other in the ring and not mess the whole thing up?

Goldberg doesn't speak English, either...

Fortunately, he only has two moves, so it's easy for people to figger out what's next...

"Buh?" = "I'm going for the spear."
"Vuh?" = "Get ready to take a Jackhammer."
"Guh?" = "I'm going to do a ridiculously sloppy move that will most likely injure you and permanently end your career."

I believe most moves in the wrestling world are universal. So in Japan and other places most moves are the same name as you would spell and pronounce them in English. Also, I've heard some of them just go on instict alone, without having to call an audible or whatever.

*Thinks of bad punchline involving Asai Moonsault and Enziguri*

I don't get it... what's the difference between wrestling in the USA and wrestling in Japan? -edit- or did WWE wrestlers wrestle against another fed or what?

He's talking about when you're working with a competitor that speaks
a different language than you do. I believe it was only Goldberg that
went to Japan,as part of a pre-WWE contract that he had to fulfill. In
most cases, you can go with the flow (if it's an experienced guy).

Wrestling is an artform;and between two experienced competitors,or
two guys who've worked each other many times before, you basically
just know when to go for what, and work on instinct - like JL said.

Now as far as the difference in wrestling here, and then in Japan -
it's a whole 'nother topic itself.Let's just say that wrestling here
compared to wrestling in Japan is like comparing being hit with a
folding chair to being hit with a Ford F-150.

Essa Rios had a limited knowledge of English which led to his release.

Depends on the type of folding chair, who is hitting you,how hard
they hit,the angle and location of the blow, and other factors.....

*OBVIOUS REPLY* Essa Rios was released because he had talent :o

In all honesty, it was probably one of many factors

Since force = weight times velocity, even if it did, it'd prolly increase the overall force with which it hit...

Trust me...You should see a train hit a human at 5 MPH...
