No Eric Cartman in South Park at all. Would it still be funny? Discuss.

Probably. Personally, I think that having to revolve the storylines around those four kids is limiting them to some other stuff that they could make fun of.

South Park has what I call "The Simpsons Syndrome", where your show evolves to the point where you have to make the children ridiculously smart to make the storylines more sophisticated for modern times.

Trick question...without Cartman, South Park wouldn't have lasted to the point were it became an all around good show. Face it, the first season or two was more or less Cartman, since then the focal point has spread out, but even if by some fluke it lasted this long without Eric, it wouldn't be nearly as funny.

Not as funny no but still hilarious, he just adds that extra something. The crude social commentary and fantastically bad celebrity impressions would make up for his absence anyhow.

They need to have more epsidoes mainly featuring Butters.

Never gave this much thought before, but having thought about it I definately don't think it would be as funny.

If Cartman suddenly got written off, I'd enjoy South park a lot more. Cartman in the beginning was GOLD. His voice changed, however, and now there is no longer anything special about him. He just sounds plain and normal and not like the Cartman of old that I used to love.

^ But that's more to do with the show going on so long, all the characters are getting a bit boring, its only natural.

Yeah, but still, they didn't have to change Cartman's voice. Now he just sucks as a character and brings nothing.

I think it would be less funnier with Cartman. But there are parts of seen without cartman that are very funny. Like when Shelly owns Stan.

I agree, SP wouldn't be the same w/o the kid. With the stuff Cartman gets into, he is def one of the funniest on there even though lately I think Butters and Stan's dad are gold.

I think if there was no Cartman another character would've been the centre and it would've been just as big.

I can't see ANYBODY taking Cartman's place EXCEPT Kenny because when he did talk he was always vulgar and an ass. I think he could have taken the place if he didn't have the hood and didn't die all the time.

If Cartman Wasn't on the show it would of taken alot longer to take off.

While Cartman is an important part of the show i think it has grown to the point where all the characters are funny as hell. I like the fact that other kids have been brought to the fore, Butters is fucking classic, Tweak too, timmy, jimmy, all these chracters make the show.

it's an ensemble cast people not a one man show......
