College football question
If the ballcarrier is down as soon as his knee touches the ground, why isnt the holder down when he gets the snap for a field goal?
|
What is the deal with al these questions? The ref makes a judgement call in a situation like that, how else are you suppose to kick a field goal?
Thats like saying "How come a pass can hit a WR's foot by mistake then bounce up and they make a catch which is allowed, but if a QB kicks a ball to a wide out that is not a catch?" |
Assman is just being a dick about my thread, methinks..

Football is weird like that, like the onsides kick has a lot of things that can be picked apart like that. You just have to accept it.

I remember a couple years ago my old high school's team did a fake field goal where the holder took the ball and then shuffled it forward on an end around to the tight end for a TD. Apparently it caused a big stink because if the holder's knee is down when he's holding the ball then he can't do anything besides hold the ball and the refs didn't know that.
