Xero 01-13-2007 11:35 PM

Holy fuck, looks pretty good. I didn't even know he had one coming out.

I hope they include a shit load of promos, possibly a fourth disk like they did with the Piper set with the Pit segments.

Although they didn't include the Halftime Heat Empty Arena Match AGAIN. Why are they so against that match?

Fox 01-14-2007 12:24 AM

How they left off Rock vs. Mankind at Survivor Series 1998 (his first WWF Championship) is beyond me.

Jordan 01-14-2007 01:27 AM

That lame, all of those matches are released already...

Second and third disk maybe...

Champion of Europa 01-14-2007 01:42 AM

The Iron Man Match is the single match that definitely has my buy.

Londoner 01-14-2007 01:51 AM

I'm getting it.

Yeah, I'm definitely in on this one.

Jeritron 01-14-2007 01:57 AM

Yea theres some damn good matches there that have been saved for that DVD. Of course I feel some of those are repetitive, while others are left out. Which is probably of course an alterior motive.
I'm sure they wouldn't leave out all of the Rock and Sock connection unless they had other plans for them.

No halftime heat? haha. Or Undertaker/Rock KOR 98, how about Triple H and Rocks cage match.

Russenmafia 01-14-2007 07:38 AM

Looks a good DVD, shall be getting this

The MAC 01-14-2007 08:40 AM

was the bret/rocky match any good? What was the finish?

Jeritron 01-14-2007 08:42 AM

I'm not sure how it was, probably nothing special but probably nothing awful either since its Bret. And as for the finish, I'm just about sure The Rock won since I don't recall Bret ever holding the IC after he had reached ME status.

KingofOldSchool 01-14-2007 09:18 AM

I will be really pissed if they don't include the "This Is Your Life" segment from Raw in full on there since it is the highest rated segment in WWE history.

The name "This is Your Life" is trademarked, so that might prevent the WWE from being able to show it.

Jeritron 01-14-2007 09:27 AM

You could make a whole DVD about the Rock and Mankind's matches and promos against and with eachother.

addy2hotty 01-14-2007 09:30 AM

Rock/Lesnar? Yuk.

It was shown and clipped on Mick Foleys "Hard Knocks, Cheap Pops" DVD.

Jeritron 01-14-2007 09:59 AM

Well its "The Rock's Greatest Matches", so I don't think they're focusing on promos. If you wanted to include the Rocks greatest segments and promos on his dvd, that could probably fill another 2 or 3 discs on its own. That makes it an entirely different item alltogether, which I'm sure the WWE is already on top of.

The One 01-14-2007 01:48 PM

Seems like a decent line up. There are a few I am questioning why they arn't on there and a couple that I think are totally useless on a Best Of collection, but overall it looks worth the money. Now if they were releasing a 3-disk Greatest Promos DVD, I would probably cream my pants and line up at the store to buy it....

Xero 01-14-2007 02:15 PM

They really should release like a 5 disk "Ultimate Promo" set featuring all the great promos of the past. Nothing but promos.

Caged Heat18 01-14-2007 03:13 PM

Sounds like an awesome DVD.

I would buy this in an instant.

Londoner 01-14-2007 04:24 PM

I hope they're doing the promo's on this DvD though.

Savio 01-14-2007 04:29 PM

Its just matches?

I'm more interested in why they included the shitty WMXX handicap match?

KingofOldSchool 01-14-2007 04:32 PM

Probably because it was the last match The Rock has ever been in.

Xero 01-14-2007 04:34 PM

Yeah, it makes sense to include it.

Xero 01-14-2007 04:34 PM

Hey, I wonder if this means he'll be back at least in a non-wrestling role to promote it? :D

KingofOldSchool 01-14-2007 04:38 PM

Doubt it.

The MAC 01-14-2007 05:13 PM

a wrestkemainia apearance is probably on the cards..He'll probably run and save cena from a beat down, then tag with him the next night..plug dvd and fuck off

Savio 01-14-2007 05:14 PM

maybe he'll come back in a total wrestling role to promote it.

Disturbed316 01-14-2007 05:16 PM

Would prefer it if it had a doco with it, rather than just matches.

Rammsteinmad 01-14-2007 05:23 PM

Looks good. I'm definitly gonna get this one. :y:

RGWhat316 01-14-2007 05:39 PM

I'd be interested in getting this as well. I haven't seen that Iron Man match in a long time, so I definitely want that.

sweet match listings

St. Jimmy 01-14-2007 08:47 PM

Where the fuck is Trips/Rock's STRAP match. That was bad ass.

Jeritron 01-14-2007 08:52 PM

I think its strange that they skip from when he finished fueding with Austin in April 99...all the way to Febuary of 2000. They completely leave out anything and everything that happened in 1999. He had a good match with the Taker if I remember, he had several good bouts with HHH for the #1 contendership including strap and cage matches. His fued with BA Billy Gunn was forgetable, but then he had the Rock and Sock connection and a fued with Big Show.....
