I never understood the "Hbk lost his smile" thing. I've seen people here mention it before as though it were proof positive that he is the devil incarnate, other times just as a joke. WHat's the deal? Is it just that the line is so cheesy? Is it a Bret thing? I don't get it.

To put it simply: Shawn wouldn't job (to Bret I believe) so he dropped the title in the promo. It's that line that sticks out in the promo.

Story he told on his RF shoot interview is that he dropped bad piss (Steroids) but denied it and refused to admit it so Vince had to suspend him. He denied it in the interview too.

I thought it was refusal to job, but I could be wrong.

(And Shawn is the first person you'd go to for "The Truth" anyway...)

I'm not saying it's not the truth, I'm just stating what he said in the shoot. I wouldn't be suprised if he was whining about laying down. He was painting Bret as the instigator in all of thier affairs.

That was over the IC title which in return led to the Wrestlemania X ladder match with Razor Ramon.

The reason Shawn said they came up with the losing his smile story is because he had to get surgey on his leg I believe.

The guy was bouncing around and dancing all over the place just fine during the time following that promo. Bret called him a phoney at Mania, and he probably meant to say it, outside of any planned notions. For a guy needing and having surgery, he sure didnt seem that bad off.

Actually if it wasn't for this, we probably wouldn't have gotten that amazing Austin/Hart match at Mania.

That was during his IC run when he got into a fued with Dean Douglas. He forfitted to title to Douglas, who promptly lost it to Razor about 10 minutes later.
