So would anybody really give a damn...

...if all of a sudden, out of nowhere, there was no more PBS (as in the Public Broadcasting crap), which is minimally more entertaining than watching the "Local Access" channel's listing of "Calendar of events for the week of..."?

right now? not but they used to have Battle bots on it which was cool.

I don't know which area of the US they get PBS from in Edmonton, but my mom loves it and would be pissed if they axed it.

i enjoy it. a couple of days ago there was a documentary on called "China From Inside" which depicted corrupt local governments and re-education through labor for activists. apparently a lot of old-school communist shit still goes on in China. i found it interesting.

i like educational television in general, and i particularly like PBS because, unlike Discovery, TLC, and other educational channels, it has not been saturated with biker build-offs, interior design shows, and shows about midgets, ect.

what kind of programming do you like, DAMiNATOR?

I woulda been severely pissed off when I was younger. Used to love me some Ghostwriter and Wishbone. In fact, I'm pretty sure I cried when they announced that the about that was about to come of Ghostwriter was going to be the last and then it came on and they said it was the last time it would ever be confirming the statement before.

Wishbone was the man :'(

Charlie Rose can be bad ass when he has movie or TV related things.

YOUR Hero 01-21-2007 03:18 AM

I used to post on Charlie Rose's website, lots of political trash talk goes n thurrr. Got boring after awhile though, because it was always the same people arguing the same thing.

Anyway.

PBS has a lot of stuff I find interesting. Glad to have it.

It would only be a tradgedy for the loss of childhood classics like Sesame Street. Of course it doesn't effect me now, but I'd cry a little bit inside that its gone for current and future generations, including my children someday.

Some of the documentaries are pretty good, as are some of the Nova's, but no, I don't think I'd cry over it.
