Wrestlers who had cancer...

Reading about Piper on WWE.com, I got to wondering, has there ever been a wrestler diagnosed with cancer, after treatment returned to the ring? Not in a commentary/manager-type role, but actual matches.

Jim Duggan.

I knew he had something, but didn't know it was cancer. :y:

"Dr. Death" Steve Williams

Xero 02-07-2007 07:06 PM

I thought about Dr. Death, but has he wrestled after the cancer?

Kobashi will be returning soon after beating cancer.

Didn't Scotty too Hotty beat testicular cancer?

Nugget 02-08-2007 06:01 PM

No.

Xero 02-08-2007 06:35 PM

Actually, yeah, he did. I remember the "One Ball" jokes from a few years ago.

Nugget 02-08-2007 06:36 PM

When exactly was this? I'm pretty sure it wasn't true.

Xero 02-08-2007 06:43 PM

Can't pin-point a date but there are numerous Google hits related to it.

Xero 02-08-2007 06:44 PM

Actually it may have been just a scare and they removed one of his testicles to be sure.
