Huge match announced for Mania, Hats required *SPOILERS*

At the Raw taping currently ongoing in Portland, Oregon, the stipulation for the Donald Trump vs. Vince McMahon angle at Wrestlemania 23 was announced, as the loser will have their head shaved by the winner.

From PWInsider.

The One 02-12-2007 10:50 PM

Bye Bye to Vinny Mac's locks...

Xero 02-12-2007 10:51 PM

I bet he actually has a wig cut and just puts on one of those bald head things.

KingofOldSchool 02-12-2007 10:52 PM

Vince won't make a good baldie.

SammyG 02-12-2007 10:52 PM

lol wow.

St. Jimmy 02-12-2007 10:53 PM

So, I'm selling my Mania tickets tomorrow. I'm really depressed now, WWE has let me down even beyond a point I thought they could.

The One 02-12-2007 10:53 PM

Hey, McMahon is if nothing else not a hypocrite. He expects his talent to do some of the dumbest shit and make complete jackasses out of themselves to fatten up his wallet, but at least McMahon has always lead by example and been a shinning becon of disgrace and tastless actions.

I'll buy then for $5.

St. Jimmy 02-12-2007 11:00 PM

I could sell them for hundreds (or a sammich) but I'll never get my pride back.

NeanderCarl 02-12-2007 11:02 PM

I like it.

"Hair vs Hair" is one angle that has not been exhausted by WWE (not since the days of Brutus Beefcake anyway) and Vince having his head shaved (which is the inevitable outcome) is something different and new.

It's not world changing, but it's fresh. It will add a nice little angle to a WrestleMania match.

Angle lost his hair in a Hair v.s Hair match, did he not? (No, seriously - I don't remember)

Xero 02-12-2007 11:05 PM

Yeah, he did.

Angle, Molly, and Fink (?) are the only ones I can remember to lose a hair vs hair stipulation in the WWE in ten years.

Indifferent Clox 02-12-2007 11:05 PM

Having Vince's Head shaved will change the Face of wrestling forever! or at least the head!

Jarrett too. X-Pac vs. Jarrett Hair vs. Hair from... SS98? I believe...

Xero 02-12-2007 11:07 PM

Yeah, Jarrett. Fink I believe was attacked by Jarrett beforehand and shaved his head, leading to the Hair vs. Hair match at SummerSlam.

Dorkchop 02-12-2007 11:10 PM

Imagine if Trump actually lost? That'd be crazy.

I can also imagine Jesus Christ descending from Heaven and giving me an amazing blowjob.

That's more likely than Trump losing his hair.

NeanderCarl 02-12-2007 11:13 PM

Nash also lost his hair to Jericho in a match on Raw, but Hair vs Hair stips have been very few and far between in WWE. Even during the Beefcake years, I only remember one match (Beefcake vs Outlaw Ron Bass) where the hair was actually an official match stipulation.

Fink didn't lose his hair in a stip. Jarrett shaved it in an angle, then lost his own hair in a revenge match against X-Pac.

Xero 02-12-2007 11:15 PM

Wasn't the Mania match between Beefcake and Adonis Hair vs. Something?

Yeah, I know. I just remember him being shaved.

NeanderCarl 02-12-2007 11:16 PM

Oh and Bischoff lost his hair at Taboo Tuesday 04 against Eugene.

It was Roddy Piper vs Adrian Adonis, Beefcake just showed up at the end for the hair cutting part. And yeah, it was Hair vs Hair (or maybe just Adonis' hair on the line, not sure which.)

Blitz 02-12-2007 11:18 PM

Note that it is not actually Trump Vs McMahon, but representatives of each man. Then whichever rep loses, their "manager" gets shaved.

NeanderCarl 02-12-2007 11:19 PM

Roddy Piper vs Adrian Adonis
Brutus Beefcake vs Outlaw Ron Bass
Jeff Jarrett vs X-Pac
Kevin Nash vs Chris Jericho
Molly Holly vs Victoria
Kurt Angle vs Edge
Eugene vs Eric Bischoff

These are the only Hair Vs Hair matches I can ever recall in WWE. Certainly not an overused gimmick anyway.

Loose Cannon 02-13-2007 12:22 AM

Piper/Adonis was not hair vs hair. It was billed as Piper's retirement match.

Afterlife 02-13-2007 12:25 AM

Weak in terms of Mania.

It was also Hair vs Hair. That's why they had hairdressing equipment and a mirror at ringside.

NeanderCarl 02-13-2007 02:00 AM

It was also the reason why Brutus Beefcake became Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake. Until that night he had been one half of the Dream Team tag team. That match gave him his new gimmick.

Ironically, he was the original choice for the gay gimmick Adonis was ultimately lumbered with. So in what turned out to be the last high profile match for 'Adorable' Adrian became a new lease of life for Beefcake's career.

RP 02-13-2007 02:04 AM

Adrian Adonis was the best wrestler ever.

I'm shocked. I went and checked results to see if you were actually serious, and you were.

Now, I don't mind this at all. Call me a moron and a mark, but I can't wait to see one of these assholes get their head shaved. Hair vs Hair always has some appeal, but when its Trump and McMahon? At least they're not wrestling eachother.

Lighten up people. Its just a stipulation. We were gonna get a match of some kind involving them, obviously with wrestlers in their corners. At least this gives it some meaning other than a pointless match with them in the corners. Its not like its the main event.

Who are their wrestlers gonna be is the question.

NeanderCarl 02-13-2007 02:41 AM

Hogan vs Shane, no doubt.

Unless you believe what Hulk "The Truth" Hogan says about no longer being with WWE.

Jeritron 02-13-2007 02:51 AM

who knows. Yea, I'd say that'd be what it would be. I wouldn't be suprised if they brought Austin in to be the Special guest enforcer since hes gonna be involved with Raw/Wrestlemania soon.

I can see Austin shaving Vince's head.

Corkscrewed 02-13-2007 03:15 AM

Interesting.

This is about as huge as the fact that Barrack Obama was educated in a Muslim school.

Rammsteinmad 02-13-2007 03:33 AM

Fucking hell I can't wait for the day we get to see another Wrestlemania that doesn't have a McMahon match/segment. Especially coz he always books his matches as one of the main events.

Jeritron 02-13-2007 03:42 AM

To be fair, its more about getting Donald Trump on the card than it is getting himself

St. Jimmy 02-13-2007 04:20 AM

Actually, this is how they're going to get Show vs. Kahli onto the card.

McMahon will be all excited that he has the fail-proof contestant in The Great Kahli and then a week before Mania will come and Trump will show his mystery wrestler and... SUPRISE. Big Show.

Corkscrewed 02-13-2007 05:12 AM

I'd much rather it be The Rock, or Chris Jericho. (I can dream)
