The Piper/Rhodes segment could have been so much better if
Khali came out and just started chopping them and headbutting them. Why not Vince? WHY THE FUCK NOT??? Heres the scenario. Piper and Rhodes have this lovefest in the ring. Fans are cheering them non stop. Lawler is screaming puppies or something and its a pretty good segement despite the fatness of the former superstars. Piper is happy. Lawler is happy. Rhodes is happy. Fans are happy. Fans at home are happy. DVD sells are good. HoF 2007 got plugged. Everything is going good, but just when you think a WWE segement couldnt go tragically wrong, The Great Khali bursts from under the ring and begins to headbutt and chop everyone. The crowd doesnt boo. They just sit there wondering what the hell is going on. Khali roars and headbutts again. Kind of like a level 3 boss on a video game, whos main move you have to avoid every 15 seconds. Khali then stands over Rhodes and Piper roaring and looking around. Then he walks away. Segement killed. Task complete.
WWE needs some consistancy. They really missed a oppurtunity there. Stupid writers. |
It would've been so much better if they didn't use it to build a terrible Umaga storyline. Why does Umaga get such a big push? I actually like the nostalgic segments, why must they always be used to progress pointless storylines.

Fuck, that's basically the definition of "pointless". |

It was classless of WWE to have Umaga interrupt that segment.
All Piper has talked about since being diagnosed with cancer is "walking down that ramp again". He finally beats the illness, he should be allowed to bask in the celebration in his hometown without having to help give the rub to a dead loss like Umaga. And all because WWE don't seem to have a clue what to do with Umaga now that the Cena feud is over and Umaga's unbeaten streak has been soundly ended. I'm assuming it could lead to an Umaga vs Rhodes match, possibly at WrestleMania, which will be shit. |
At least its not X-Pac :shifty:
