NeanderCarl's No Way Out 2007 Play-By-Play
Exactly what it says.
I know there's a discussion thread for NWO, but this is my PBP for those not watching, so don't delete...
Grease my palms, and I'll consider it.
The Line Up:
WWE Champion John Cena and Shawn Michaels vs World Champion Batista and The Undertaker ECW World Champion Bobby Lashley vs Ken Kennedy WWE Tag Team Champions Brian Kendrick and Paul London vs Deuce N' Domino US Champion Chris Benoit and The Hardy Boyz vs MVP and MNM King Booker vs Kane The Boogeyman and Mini Boogeyman vs Finlay and Little Bastard Some kind of Diva filler segment Cruiserweight Clusterfuck |
Why not just do the play by play in the other thread?
JBL goes off on a xenophobic (ie. racist) rant to open the show when Michael Cole introduces Spanish language commentators Carlos Cabrera and Hugo Savinovich. Way to open the show on a positive note, and impress your large hispanic audience.
The six-man tag is kicking things off. |

Alright.

Joey Mercury is still wearing that awful mask. How long is his face going to take to heal?
You know, maybe nobody told Vince McMahon that they'd booked this match. McMahon has just seen MNM and the Hardyz together, and is having a coronary. |
Its in the other thread, but Funky Fly,s dancing Ultimo sig moves in beat to the Hardys music.
Guess this is the last teaming for MNM/Hardys. |
I guess I kinda like the way the Hardyz and MNM are now established both as singles and a tag team, anyway. The individual members feud on the respective shows, and come PPV time, feud as a tag team. It's quite an interesting scenario, even if it makes little logical sense considering the nature of the brand split.
Are there issues between Benoit and MVP that I missed? Or do they just want to set the scene for a Benoit/MVP match at Mania??
Not a lot of intensity in this match thus far, with the exception (naturally) of Benoit. Quite a slow pace thus far too.
In their short exchange, Benoit basically squashed MVP. It's a shame how far down the ladder Benoit is at the moment... even though he had his moment of glory in 2004, I really don't see Benoit ever ascending to that spot on either brand again. TNA might well be the better option for the 'Crippler'. |
MVP is absolute shit, hopefully we dont have to see benoit feud with him. i can just imagine wwe writers using benoit to get MVP over.
Shitty match so far, we know the face team is going to come back, this 'heel team doniates for ages' crap is so fucking old now.

An MVP/Benoit feud could be quite good i think. |
Why the fuck does JBL keep saying Matt Hardy could be a world champion? He's no where near that level.
Wow, JBL is praising MVP nowadays? Bradshaw believes that MVP is worth "every penny they pay him".
Hardy with the whisper in the wind on Nitro, and a tag to Matt. Matt takes both MNM members down with clotheslines and a bulldog/clothesline combo. Hardy hits a side effect for a 2 count on the legal man, Nitro. I don't know why a) people pop for the side effect b) it even has it's own special name.... I've NEVER seen a match end with that move. MVP tags in and works on Matt with his slow offence, and Benoit comes in and breaks up a pin attempt, with a 'naughty boy' look on his face. Man, as good as this guy is as a wrestler, he's as bad an actor. |
My prediction for the match? MVP/MNM victory, probably with Matt or Benoit doing the job to MVP.
Solid match up right here.
I thought MVP was gonna tap. That was close.
Hopefulyl benoit/Hardys win this for my predictions in tipsters.
ROFL @ that bull dog.
Mercury taps.
All three faces nail Mercury with their respective finishers, MVP tries to nail Benoit with the belt but is caught in the Crossface. Nitro breaks up the move... attempted Snapshot on Benoit, Matt makes the save, Benoit hooks the Crossface on Mercury for the win, and he... um... "proved me wrong", every pun intended.
Ah good, they did, by submission to.
So far, full points for Tipsters.
Vicki's looking different.
For anyone who wants to watch this for free here is a link:
http://www.stickam.com/profile/poolgod913 That is only good for the vid. Audio will have to come from Paltalk. This page will give you directions on how to obtain the audio: http://www.thewrestlingroom.net/twrdirections.html |
Well that was obviously going to happen.
CW clusterfuck coming up, S2H first, oh well goodbye S2H. |
1. Chris Benoit and The Hardy Boyz defeated MVP and MNM when Benoit made Mercury tap to the Crippler Crossface.
Backstage interview with Vickie Guerrero, who looks like she is going to turn face again. Finlay asks Little Bastard if he is scared of the Boogeyman, but LB is more scared of Little Boogeyman, because "little people are scary". Finlay is baffled. He throws Little Bastard in a bin (?) and walks away. Then Bastard jumps out of the bin, and Little Boogeyman was in the bin. Why would he be in a bin? Anyway, it's Cruiserweight Clusterfuck Gauntlet time, and the first two up are Scotty "Didn't I JUST Move To Raw Last Week??" Too Hotty and Daivari. |
lol at Scotty being described as a 'veteran', 'jobber' is more fitting.
Actually there's a free No Way Out stream with audio and video at this link:
http://pic6.piczo.com/wwe-loyal/?g=32291260 Picture's not great and it's on a very slight delay. |
Shit scotty beat dalvari, what was the point in having dalvari beat helms on smackdown then?
WWE Cruiserweight Champion Gregory Helms is the next entrant as Scotty has (gasp!) beaten Daivari. I missed that because I was fucking about trying to find that link for you!
I was hoping Daivari would do something :/
Now I will endlessly hope Funkai does something - nope out already. |
Helms eliminates Scotty, and Funaki is the next entrant.
Helms rolls through on a cross body press, and pins Funaki in seconds.
Umm.. Shannon Moore (from ECW) is the next entrant. Huh? |
Moore looks ridiculous, he'll never get over in WWE (or ECW) with that image.
Helms pins Moore and out comes Jimmy Wang Yang....
