Ever hear of a guy named BUZZ LIGHTYEAR?!

Nervous Ferret 02-18-2007 11:47 PM

I see a Tim Allen Christmas movie every yeat

YOUR Hero 02-19-2007 12:04 AM

He's found a niche doing this family friendly movies. Probably has a billion dollars saved up, or he's back snorting coke. Either way, he's doing himself well.

Fignuts 02-19-2007 12:33 AM

Christmas with the cranks was pretty good tbh.

el fregadero 02-19-2007 05:08 AM

Big Trouble

Pretty sure it was selling coke that got him in trouble:p

Xero 02-19-2007 07:53 AM

Toy Story is the goods.

ct2k 02-19-2007 08:25 AM

Both Toy Stories are f'n awesome

Xero 02-19-2007 08:27 AM

I concur.

In fact, it was the second DVD (set) I ever got.

lol you're probably the only one that thinks that

Impeccable 02-19-2007 12:07 PM

After seeing "A Shaggy Dog" I agree it must be a clause in his contract!

Stickman 02-19-2007 01:23 PM

Yeah, I have never seen him in a good movie. Toy Story doesn't count as it's just his voice, not his acting.

The One 02-19-2007 02:12 PM

Galaxy Quest and Toy Story are good. This Hog Wild movie he's doing might be good, I've only seen billboards for it, no actual trailer or anything. Meh. He's an actor. Sometimes they do good stuff, sometimes it's pure shit...

Kane Knight 02-19-2007 02:32 PM

I liked a few of his movies. Zoom is the most recent one.

So no other well known actor has ever done a shitty movie, have they?

D Mac 02-19-2007 03:12 PM

Hog Wild looks funny.

ClockShot 02-19-2007 03:34 PM

Toy Story is good. I hear the boys at Disney got Toy Story 3 in the works.

Of course the first two were successful. Disney will probably make three more, jam packed with fart/poop jokes and absolutely no substance whatsoever. In fact, I heard that Toy Story 5 is already set to be entirely about Happy Meal toys exploring the wonderful world that is the McDonalds Playplace, while they discover how tastey the food is and how happy living in their McDonalds home makes them.

Fignuts 02-20-2007 01:18 AM

Thought Pixar made the Toy Story movies under the disney name. No wthat they are separated, if disney decides to make another one, it will most likely be straight to DVD crap.

I guess you liked "A Shaggy Dog" then?

Of course other actors have done shit films....Tim Allen just does more than most.

Supreme Olajuwon 02-20-2007 03:16 AM

Maybe Tim Allen is the reason the movies are shit. It would coincide with his acting skills.

They're not separated anymore.

It had a couple funny moments. I laughed pretty hard at the botox scene.

Xero 02-20-2007 09:01 AM

As far as Toy Story 3 is concerned, I've heard rumors it's going to be animated and not 3D.

If it's true that's bullshit.

Well Toy Story was the big groundbreaker into this new realm of animation. Nobody else was doing computer animation at the time. It's only fitting that the Toy Story franchise does it again by doing the exact opposite. Now they're the only animated movie among a sea of worthless computer animated ones.

Fignuts 02-20-2007 07:02 PM

Or maybe its just a cheap straight to dvd crap that will sell to kids no matter how bad it is.

Does what? Be a big groundbreaker by going back to prior tech? That makes no sense. Not to mention that there are still animated movies coming out. I mean, not only is it false, but it makes no sense.

I apologize for him... hes so embarrasing sometimes but i love him!

Rammsteinmad 02-21-2007 02:50 AM

The best thing Tim Allen ever did was Home Improvement.

But he's still the goods. :y:

Home Improvement is/was the goods.

I have my Tivo set to always have one episode. :y:

Rammsteinmad 02-21-2007 10:13 AM

I haven't watched it for ages, coz it's all old reruns they play now. But if they ever released 'em on DVD I'd snap 'em up in an instant.

Xero 02-21-2007 10:18 AM

In the US they have up until at least the fifth season.

Kane Knight 02-21-2007 05:00 PM

Yeah, they've had it for ages over here. I'd buy it, but I'm horribly cheap.

Stickman 02-21-2007 05:24 PM

Home Improvement was good times, but when I watch it now, it's a bit too corny and it really did start to go downhill early on.

Shaggy 02-22-2007 01:56 PM

I love Galazy Quest...sure its one of his worst movies in a lot of peoples minds.

Im actually looking forward to HogWild....Might be interesting to see all those actors together in a movie, definently something I thought I would ever see.

I'll enjoy almost anything with Alan Rickman in it. I've got to say that right up front.

Galaxy Quest was a trashy movie. You might like it, but it's the sort of thing you like despite itself.

FakeLaser 02-22-2007 05:42 PM

I'm not going to lie, I have a soft spot for the first Santa Clause.
