Kevin Smith to write & direct Green Hornet movie

Yeah

I dunno...I don't think it'll work :-\

George Clooney and Jet Li were attached to it a long time ago but I doubt that still holds. Li I can probably see as Kato but I doubt Clooney will touch it now.

Thoughts?

I don't know, I've got a feeling it could work because it would be tongue - in -cheek.
I watched Clerks again last night, Kevin Smith is the man.

Kevin Smith is a big fan of comic books. He's also written them.

I've read some of his Daredevil comics, I like his style.

If that was addressed to me then I'm fully aware of that, thanks.

I just don't think he could direct a superhero movie :-\ Compared to someone like Sam Raimi his style just doesn't mesh properly at all.

How many superhero movies has he done before?

Mr. Monday Morning 02-19-2004 06:36 PM

All of his films are dialogue heavy and very static.

Hey, I'm a Smith fan, check the sig :p He *could* pull it off but it'll take a side of Smith we haven't seen before. And to be blunt if it was say, Green Arrow, which everyone knows he has a *real* passion for, I'd be more expectant. But hey, we'll see. At least it's not McG :$

I just watched the Kevin Smith Live last night. Hilarious, Seen it?

Anyways, he was telling a story about rewriting the new superman movie script because the old one sucked. He got pulled from rewriting superman when Tim Burton decided he wanted to do it. Again, anyways, it was a great live preformance in front of college students. Recommended.

And none of them are superhero flicks.
