First one was awesome, the second looks better. I got it on reserve. The only thing I hope they did was like double or triple the length of the game.

I finished God of War last night (Only had it for two weeks and played it a few times because my PS2 is at my girlfriend's). It's not a long game, but I didn't mind because it was one of the best games ever.

I hope for God of War 2 they make the platforming elements more fun. I find it involved too much memory rather than skill.

I can't wait to play this.

Try having a go at beating it on God mode, then we'll see how quickly you do it.

I saw the trailer a while ago. Looks very nice. DOnt know what mythical creatures they will have in this one though.

If you really want to be amazed at what a PS2 can do play resident evil 4.

But yes, loved the first one.

No, your character actually controls normally rather than that retrded up=forward crap. And it is a lot more action oriented than past RE's.

The game won a shitload of game of the year awards. And for good reason.

Got it today. Played for a few hours. I'm hooked. However, the kid at EB Games said it's about a 15 hour game to knock out. I was hoping for longer. But I guess I can deal with it.

Picked it up this morning after work....Just got time to play it for about an hour...pretty kick ass game..I love how the whole first stage takes place and how everything goes down to make this a whole brand new game.

Guess I should play these games eh?

Not yet, but I wouldn't be surprised to eventually see him.

You can play as Hercules after you beat the game...

I forgot what you have to do but from what I read (sorta like how the first game had costumes) there is one that will allow you to be Hercules

That tends to happen when it's a first party game. Don't be expecting Metroid on your 360 either.

I just knocked this out a few hours ago. Like I said in an above post, it's roughly 15 hours. There is some replay value, but maybe another playthrough or so to get the extra costumes. Then you bring it back to the store or let it collect dust.

I'll post some spoilers here in black if some of you are interested.

- Alot of greek figures and monsters drop by as bosses and allies. Perseus, Theseus, Icarus, (alot of us').

- Michael Clark Duncan has a voice role in this game.

- Hades got one ugly makeover.

- Larger selection of weapons. Magic you get is pretty much the same.

- Big revealation at the end. Which leaves the door open to another one. Which I hope they make really, really, long.

When I told my brother I beat this today, he thinks I should write a letter to the company who made this and say, "Why did I pay $50 bucks for a game I could beat in a matter of days."

My little cousin purchased the first God Of War when it came out and I was gonna pick it up the next day...I went over to his house to try the game out and beat the first one in a handful of hours. Sure the game is fun as hell and now that time has passed I have played it multiple times...but the point is like you said...Why pay $50 for it?

With that question in the air...I picked up GOW2 for $50---little less with my discount. Im about 9 hours into it and already about to beat the game.

Little disapointed by the ending though...reminds me of the 2nd POTC movie.

I didn't mind the shortness of it too much. i really cannot wait till Chains of Olympus (I think thats what they're calling GoW 3), and I imagine you might fight Herc in the 3rd game.

Nope, Chains of Olympus is a PSP only prequel to the first God Of War.
God of War 3 has started development and will be for PS3.

I need to buy this game.
