Who is your favorite authority figure in wrestling?

I mean for storyline purposes (though quiet a few are/were actaully in power as well).

Personally I always like Eric Bischoff's run as Raw General Manager. He helped make the show without trying to be the show. Something Vince doesn't quiet get.

On a side note, I would like to see JBL as a GM or something. There is something we rarely see, a big intimidating heel as a GM.

Theo Dious 03-06-2007 03:02 PM

Teddy Long, no doubt.

Stickman 03-06-2007 03:03 PM

Jack Tuney

BDC. :naughty:

But seriously, Paul Heyman was probably my favourite.

Jack Tunney will always be #1. I really belived the guy actually ran the WWF.

Smackdown Paul Heyman was great, not to say ECW Paul wasn't, it just wasn't note worthy.

Regal's run as commissioner.

That makes me want to watch the clip of Jericho besmirching his tea.

Anybody Thrilla 03-06-2007 04:01 PM

Cheif Morley

Xero 03-06-2007 04:01 PM

Vince McMahon, no contest.

Anybody Thrilla 03-06-2007 04:03 PM

Oh yeah, I meant to say Vince McMahon. Did I say Cheif Morley?

Jura 03-06-2007 04:04 PM

Sting or was it Kevin Nash that one time. Anyways, you all should go to hell.

Sheriff HBK.
(Couldn't find a proper picture, so here's Sheriff Pony)

I loved Mick Foley as the GM. His segments with Edge and Christian were gold.

Anyway, my favourite would have to be tweener Eric Bischoff, back when he was leaning towards being a face. He didn't all of a sudden start hating Coachman (who was playing his close confidante in storylines), but they remained friends. He continued to be more fair and less of a push-over for the heels to get their way. It was a nice change from Evil Eric. Although, I do miss me some Evil Eric these days.

William Regal and Mick Foley during the Commissioner days were awesome. Mick Foley should be made Commissioner again. Have the General Managers be directly in charge of the show, but then there's the Commissioner (Mick Foley) hovering around them, kind of like an interpromotional General Manager. and then Vince McMahon with his Executive Assistant stooge, Jonathan Coachman shows up. Sometimes Vince won't even need to, he can just have Coach say "Mr McMahon didn't want to show his face in this stinking town, so he sent me to deliver this message,"

Might get a little confusing, though. Meh, it would still be fun. Two of the brands don't even have a General Manager, so Foley can just fill those roles as Commissioner, and appear on SmackDown! as Commissioner, while Teddy is still General Manager.

Tie-less Vince McMahon was really cool. When I was a mark, I actually used to be a big fan of the guy. When he got the tie, started exaggerating his strut and acting/legitimately going crazy, he got boring.

Vince during the Attitude era hands down.

BigDaddyCool 03-06-2007 11:05 PM

Sheriff Micheals sucked because he was there like once a month. He was pms...well then again there was that stable with Meat and PMS at the same time too.

The One 03-07-2007 12:05 AM

McMahon.
