Odd place to hear wrestling themes
 

I just heard the old Hardy Boy's theme for either CSI or a CSI contest. Where have you heard music made for wrestling?

I don't think Jeff Hardy's theme was made for wrestling. I think it's just stock music.

I used to hear the Hardys theme in a lot of places. I've heard Hardcore Hollys places before too, and Steve Blackmans during a motor oil commercial.

I heard Angles theme on the radio yesterday on the sports radio station, and sometimes you'll hear a wrestling theme here or there on the radio after a commercial break or something. Baseball games too, I've heard Goldbergs theme, HHHs theme and a few others during MLB games.

I think you're right about this. I've heard it a million places, including commercials for some ATV offroad game for ps2. I think its stock. So it makes me wonder why TNA didn't use it. Maybe WWE bought the exclusive "wrestling" right to it or something.

owen hart's Rocket theme was used on saved by the bell all the time.

I've heard Jeff Hardy's, Hardcore Holly's, Crash Holly's, Steve Blackman's, Goldberg's, and Jamie Noble's old theme on ESPN News. Noble's was also used in a Dodge(?) trucks commercial. Pretty sure those are all stock themes though.

Jason Kendall used to use Road Dogg's theme as his walk-up music when he played for the Pirates. Not sure if he used it after that. Other baseball players have used wrestling music.

Production themes aren't owned by wrestling feds. You pay the fee, you can use the theme. It's time that "i wuz waching the mtv and jef hardy's muzak wuz playingggg" stops bing reported as news.

Ive heard Hardcore Hollys old theme during many Spike TV commercials....

The Hardy Boys theme is basically played on anything...weirdest thing ive ever heard it on was the trailer for The Crow: City of Angels (I think it was that one...if not City of Angels then Salvation)

When I went to any Houston Astros game for the past few years when ever Jeff Bagwell came to the plate they would play Tests theme..

This one radio station used to play Bentoit and Raven's WWE theme in the background of one of their regular segments. I forget what channel and what the segment was about (I think some contest or poll or something).

i was listening to nirvana and heard ddp's wcw theme.

I could have sworn that I once also heard Hollywood Hogan's WCW theme on the radio.

So the other day I had my radio tuned into the metal station, and I heard (random ECW theme song)!!! IT WAS AWESOME!!!!

Nascar was observed using Orton and Edge's themes last year. Yeah, I know they're songs by actual bands and all, but a guy on Nascar.com even wrote about it in a column.
During starting lineups for Pittsburgh Pirate games, I've heard something that sounds and awful lot like a looped clip of Edge & Christian's old theme.

I heard Angle's theme at a hockey game once. I think it was just filler while the ref was reviewing a call.

Hardcore Holly's theme and 'Bodies' where both used in the Jet Li film The One. Thought it was kinda weird to have two wrestling related songs in he same film.

You're right. Being a themes "expert" (?) seeing this kind of thread come up again and again kind of wears on me.

Certain music used by WWE is licensed from outside production companies, such as www.nonstopmusic.com (of which I am a member, and they have the OLD Outsiders theme, which is my favorite theme of all time, and which WWE used one time for a WWF Magazine commercial) and www.extrememusic.com (which has, among others, Trish Stratus's original theme, Jeff Hardy's, Chaz's, and Brian Kendrick's "Hey You" theme).

Yeah, about as true as the fact that Rage Against the Machine did the DX theme.

Newcastle United (English Football Team) always come out to Kurt Angle's WWE theme for the 2nd half of their home games.

Back in the day, country music stations used to play "Rap is Crap". Of course, I don't listen to those stations so I never myself heard it on the radio, but it DID happen.
