What a freaking roller coaster (Raw Spoilers)

All I have to say is holy freaking god, that was a lot.

Right as they showed Ernie Ladd I started to cry in front of my roommates. They don't know who he is, so after I came around I gave them a breif filler.
When they showed the video for him I smiled. That man lived one awesome life, one that I'm sure most of us are jealous of, and I hope SmackDown is dedicated to Allen Brown.

I have no complaints about Raw, 'cept when my roommates pointed out that I was marking out. No, I have no problem admiting that I was marking out for Super Crazy and The Rock, but when people point it out it draws me back to reality.

When Mr. Fuji was annonuced for the Hall of Fame I got a little misty eyed, still emotional from the picture of Ernie Ladd.

Everything about Raw this week drew me in.
This reminds me why I still watch wrestling. After being a fan for over 20 years I still remember what it's like to get excited, to get drawn into the show. Hearing about JBL vs HBK next week totally blindsighted me. I can't wait for SmackDown to hear what JBL has to say about it.

Well, while I have the spoiler warning in here, and since I'm already typing, does anyone know if The Rock plans on wrestling again, or was it just for a promo?

thedamndest 03-13-2007 03:45 AM

I really hate Ashley. They had themselves all set up with Mickie/Melina, and they had to go and fucking throw Ashley in there. I realize they want to get their $250,000's worth out of her tits, but damn. Women's champ? This title used to be held by Bertha Faye, for godsakes.

SammyG 03-13-2007 03:57 AM

Just a promo I believe :(

Caged Heat18 03-13-2007 04:24 AM

It was awesome to see the Rock though even if it was just for a promo.

FourFifty 03-13-2007 04:53 AM

Whenever people who used to watch wrestling during the additue are talk to me, they ask me what I think about The Rock. All I do is talk trash about how he sold out. He's making more money, for less work. Yes, a smart move on his part, but his movies suck.
But I will admit, I was as giddy as a school girl when I saw him.

Loose Cannon 03-13-2007 07:34 AM

I thought there was nothing spectacular with Raw at all. It was ok, but not something I would get excited about on the Road to Wrestlemania. They always bring back former stars now and days before Mania, so seeing Rock wasn't a huge shocker.

Avenger 03-13-2007 07:50 AM

I think FourFifty should gently pull his cock out of RAW's ass.

RVDmark 03-13-2007 08:14 AM

Im calling a rock Bottom at WM right now. After Vince betters austin and lashley somehow the rock rock-bottoms Vince and Lashley gets the win. No training required for one rock-bottom so he wouldn't need to be in great condition.

You do realise that Fuji isn't dead, right?

I'd like to point out that I'm sure some of us had tears of joy when Benoit won the heavyweight title. Same basic asspect. I'm happy because it's about damn time.

Stickman 03-13-2007 04:07 PM

Raw was it's typical boring shit with attitude era stars adding the only excitement to the show.

That, and what Stickman said on this topic.

I love Raw too.

I beamed with insane amounts of pride and giddiness when that happened. It was a pretty OMG moment for me.

Marc the Smark 03-14-2007 12:17 AM

And I was there at WM XX in person so yeah, it was really awesome!

I agree, he used to my favorite wrestler, I would get tingles everytime I would hear his music no matter what. He had that charisma that made you love him, and his in ring work was amazing, the way he put over others just so the company could work better.

Then he up and leaves and I sort of dislike him now, he comes back for a week at a time, and teases (Like this) While his movies are mediocre, His body isn't as beat up as some people who are still wrestling, In my opinion he owes/d wrestling a few more years. He should make a return, then in a few years go back to movies after he helps establish the younger talent like he did in his prime.

Times when tears filled my eyes when watching wrestling.

I don't think the Rock "owes" us anything. If you worked down by the docks and could make it big somewhere else for less work and lots more money, you would never return to the docks because you owe your former co-workers and the people who bought your unloaded goods.

Not to say I wouldn't be all about a full time Rocky return.

Its not really that easy to reply to this form of perspective.

I agree that if you worked at the docks, and could make better money for less work, you would be a moron not to take it. Although most would feel like they still belong at the docks, and thier co-workers, and others that were appreciative of thier work. While they would be happy that the person was doing better elsewhere they would miss them dearly.

And a return now and then to help outwould make everyone happy, but in doing so would make people sadder when you left again. I should have worded it better, he really doesn't owe us anything. I just wish he left a better way, and stopped returning for such short periods of time. As he was a fav it makes me sad to see him leave over and over.

Mr. Nerfect 03-15-2007 09:53 PM

RAW was kind of shit for me. I mean The Rock showing up was kind of a negative. He made me mark out, but it reminded me of how shit the WWE currently is. The Rock completely blew away the top faces of the event.

The Naitch 03-16-2007 12:15 AM

The Rock is the Greatest of all-time

hb2k 03-16-2007 09:42 AM

Yeh, damn the Rock for wanting to be a success in life and not wanting to be be in a wheelchair at 45!

I've had this conversation with you before so I'd just like to reiterate my opinion. I really have no problem with the Rock leaving to do something he wanted to do more, it's his life not ours. It'd be like me working at Tim Horton's for the rest of my life when I really want to pursue a career in music.

TerranRich 03-16-2007 03:31 PM

"You're not coming back to Tim Horton's! You refused to job to the Iced Capuccino!"
