London & Kendrick

watching smackdown, I just suddenly realised, these guys are over! and alot of it is due to Ashley.

so yeah, what do people think are the chances that when these guys break up, that it could lead to a great feud, and at least one of the two becoming a big star?

McLegend 03-17-2007 09:47 PM

They should never break up.

They are so much better together then they are apart.

Afterlife 03-17-2007 09:50 PM

Agreed. In fact, I honestly see them becoming the new longest reigning tag champs. Besides, the dissolution of the Hardys and the whatever the fuck is up that's up with MNM is bad enough. Leave us at least one complete, impressive tag team.

The Genius 03-17-2007 10:04 PM

i am pretty sure they were over long before ashley came along.

Mr. Nerfect 03-17-2007 10:16 PM

I still maintain that London & Kendrick are perhaps the most over guys in the WWE to never cut a promo. It's a shame, because they do have real personalities. Put Edge & Christian's goofy characters and The Hardys high-flying style together, and you have the current WWE Tag Team Champions.

I see no reason to take the WWE Tag Team Titles off London & Kendrick any time soon. The WWE doesn't have a team worthy enough. They worked a nice fucking match against MNM this past week, and I still think there may be plans on having London & Kendrick defend against MNM at WrestleMania. That should be a big defence for London & Kendrick.

I'm still a little itchy for a 4-Way Ladder Rematch from Armageddon. Maybe throw in The World's Greatest Tag Team and just make it a massive orgy of talent. Have London & Kendrick retain there. Give them small singles pushes while holding the WWE Tag Team Titles, maybe give Kendrick a Cruiserweight Title win, and have London hold his own in the King of the Ring Tournament.

I still think they should be more involved in Ashley's Playboy thing. Have them accompany her to RAW, and just have them with random Playboy bunny girls. Maybe give them a segment where they "review" Ashley's spread. With WrestleMania getting closer, I hope we see some of Kendrick and London on RAW. Johnny Nitro should face Brian Kendrick in singles competition this week, or something. Jim Ross could go a long way to putting them over. Being the most exciting thing on a RAW broadcast will get them noticed, too.

Why they don't mention that they were trained by Shawn Michaels really irritates me. That is an impressive pedigree that alone could get them more over than they already are.

Because Shawn is a young degenerate hipster! He's not old enough to train people!

Hanso Amore 03-18-2007 12:19 AM

They should turn Cena Heel with the help of the WGTT, an they can become a heel group, destroying HBK wee kafetr week, until one day, kendon shows up to saev him, the young apadawans there to save their Jedi Master. Then we get a heel Cena vs HBK fued (nice) and a Londrick vs WGTT fued......NICE!

Chavo Classic 03-18-2007 01:03 AM

They haven't split up/done anything recently because no-one in the creative department has a clue what to do with them. They've basically gotten over by accident and the bookers have decided to not to interfere with that.

If they did decide to split them up then both London and Kendrick would be released within six months. So as far as my viewing pleasure is concerned, keep them together for as long as possible.

London and Kindrick have a very thin and contrived sense of chemistry and personality. and their bimbo doesnt seem to really be a part of their camp either, per say. she's just kinda there. every thing about them is just very contrived. this is, of course, my opinion.

if you are into these guys, thats fine, but hey, people - don't feel like you have to like these guys just because they are cruiser weights and can do moonsaults.

Impact! 03-18-2007 06:40 AM

riiiiiiiiiiight...

Rammsteinmad 03-18-2007 06:57 AM

I wanna see them stick together for a long time. I hate that every team HAS to break up and feud just so one of them goes on to better things whilst the other get's released.

Keep 'em together, give us a REAL tag team.

Not at all. There is a tendency amongst smarks to rally behind the cruisers due mostly to their position in the WWE. Personally I think London is a great worker in the ring, and having watched some of his ROH stuff, believe that he has one of the greatest raw talents in the business.

Kendrick however is your run of the mill cruiser, and I probably wouldnt go out of my way to watch him in solo action. He neither has the luchadore aspect of London and Super Crazy, or the mat based ability of Chavo and Helms.

However, as a team they seem to fit and this verifies Kendrick.

The One 03-18-2007 01:49 PM

Hate the team, but they are over. So...whatever...

BigDaddyCool 03-18-2007 03:04 PM

I'm just glad they are doing so well because it proves me right. I always used to base my promotion in ERW around them.

Chavo Classic 03-18-2007 03:48 PM

it would never happen, it's too simple.

We need some poop jokes from Cena, some racial overtones towards Shelton, and then we have a wwe program

Mr. Nerfect 03-19-2007 01:13 AM

I'd still like to see London and Kendrick given a "Wayne's World" or "Bill & Ted" gimmick. They could definitely pull it off. Just add it as another WWE.com feature, and instead of having Maryse greet us three times every SmackDown!, have London & Kendrick (with Ashley, so the hottness is still there) encourage us to watch their web show.

It's not really hard to come up with ideas for the guys.

Wouldn't that be an Edge and Christian gimmick?

Pretty much, and I think it would work. As I said, the guys have the personality of an Edge & Christian team (just read their names for their moves, they're a couple of goofs) with The Hardys' ring style. It's the best of Attitude era tag wrestling rolled into one.

I'd even go as far as having Mick Foley get involved with them. Foley wouldn't be opposed to it, as he has helped out ROH many times, and both London and Kendrick have backgrounds there. It's all about whether the WWE is ready to invest time and interest into its tag teams, and I think we know the answer to that.

Jeritron 03-19-2007 01:28 AM

Foley has a natural eye for talent and appreciates the importance of helping young wrestlers.

Not to mention he has always excelled at making others look good whether it be on the mic, in segments or most importantly in the ring. He can be very subtle or very direct but is always superb at making others look good. And of course he'd PREFER to lay down.
So any association of young talent on programming with Mick Foley is good.

Jeritron 03-19-2007 01:34 AM

Think about the boom period in Ortons career in the first half of 04. He was great during that time, but how instrumental was Foley. I mean, he really put Orton on the map. The entire fued, many of Ortons promos, the storyline and even things like the attack ad campaigns and other entertaining segments that helped get Orton way over were created by Mick himself.
Not to take anything away from Orton since he was phenomenal during this time period, but I think its no coincidence that he reached a peak and rode high due to this fued and when it ended he dropped off sharply.
Evolution was instrumental too.

But yea, I'd love to see Mick as a GM and L&K be his buddies who he walks the line of mocking and tormenting, but doing it with a friendly comedic attitude as if it was all just backstage ribbing caught on camera.
Sure it'd be a semi rehash of Foley/E&C in 2000, but I'm sure those 3 could sprinkle the originality onto it.

Theo Dious 03-19-2007 08:44 AM

L&K are WAY over without talking. Why try and fix something that isn't broken? The difference between them and E&C is that E&C didn't get over UNTIL they started talking. If L&K can get the crowds worked up without opening their mouths (which seemingly they can) they should never say a word.

Ashley need not be present to claim that Hotness is in attendance.

that sounds pretty good. funny how the wwe writers have thought of nothing. everything about them now irritates me. i mean, what is with those stupid masks? what are these guys supposed to be, a couple of little raver queers? sloppy party bottoms? and are these guys 100 percent incapable of cutting a promo?

I never got people's problems with the masks, to be honest. They're just a little something extra they were. Kind of like the masks performers use in drama and theatre. Well that's always how I've thought of it.

It's not their fault the WWE doesn't let them talk. That's kind of a Vermaat way of thinking. I remember when he used to complain that Akio mustn't have been able to talk because the WWE didn't let him. I'd love to see his reaction to the Jimmy Wang Yang character ("He must have studied acting while away from the WWE to BETTER himself so they'd REHIRE him").

The WWE does need to get off their asses and work out something for these two. It's going to be either exciting or depressing to see where they go after MNM. I hope it's the former.

Jeritron 03-19-2007 11:33 PM

Their look and gimmick is extraordinarily gay/cheesy/boring.

I'm sorry Alienoid, I like them too. But thost masks need to go.

Whats the deal with these guys anyway right now? Are they gonna get left off the wrestlemania card?

I like it. It's flashier than most of the other cruiserweights who come in and don't get noticed.

I think they'll have them face MNM in the opening contest, or something. London & Kendrick better retain.

Afterlife 03-20-2007 09:01 AM

I, too, rather enjoy the attire. It's unique, and I'd have to say the complete opposite of "cheesy". "Cheesy" would be two guys named "The Pitbulls" who wear chain leashes and dog collars. Since their attire soesn't ham up some deadwater gimmick, it cannot be accurately described as such.

Jeritron 03-20-2007 11:30 AM

alright well it's still gay and boring

Kane Knight 03-20-2007 12:35 PM

I can see gay, but boring?

.44 Magdalene 03-20-2007 04:38 PM

I like the masks.

Just thought I'd throw that in there.
