YOUR Favorite World Champion
 

OK, so pretty simple.

Pick your favorite ECW World Champion ever, and then give an explanation of why if you'd like to, with of course, the honorable mentions to others you did like. The voting can be based on whatever. The champs title run, the champion themselves, popularity, drawing power, just personal favs, whatever.

When the polling is done, we will have a clear cut winner, and in the future I will post other threads similar to this one about WCW, NWA and WWF/WWE; with the ultimate winner of each thread competing against the others in the final, to determine everyone's favorite champion.

Raven. I'm a huge fan of his and loved him as ECW Champ.

His fued with Dreamer is classic.

Raven. Raven. Raven. Not only was he the best ECW World Champion, his reigns were some of the best World Title reigns of any promotion ever. Fantastic fueds, incredible matches, true hardcore icon. Taz is really the only person who can even come close.

Taz is my favorite because he could actaully wrestle unlike the majority of the people on the list. Also, of all the classic ECW alumni he was completely different than the rest in that he wrestled. His suplexes were far more devastating that any chair shot. If it wasn't for Taz, ECW would have just been garabage wrestling.

BTW, Rob Van Dam sucked as a World Champion.

Well he fucked up so he didn't really have a legit run with the title.

Douglas was a better TV Champ than he was World. The only good thing about his World run was Taz's FTW Title that was made because of him...

I had to go with Taz as well.

I liked Douglas, but he tended to get stale sometimes. I also liked Corino, but he never really got a run, run with the Title - so it's hard to say for me. But I definitely liked Tazz, his gimmick, and his style. :y:

How long are you going to do this before you do the next one?

I'm a massive Taz mark, so I can't really defend myself here. Just know I voted Taz.

I remember his reign the best and thought it was very good; the reasons being his old school gimmick and fued with Dusty Rhodes. Shane Douglas would probably be my second pick after Corino; the only real reason I didn't pick Douglas was because I missed out on most of his title reigns but have seen enough to realize just how great he was.
