I can't get DVDs to play on laptop..

I put the DVD in and the computer attempts to read the disc, but then it just stops and it doesn't recongize that there is a disc even in the D drive. Any ideas? Pretty sure this happened a few times but I'm not totally sure - don't have any other DVDs laying around so I can't test them but like I said I am pretty sure I remember this happening before.

Any ideas?

Clean the drive, if that doesnt work: Reinstall windows.

Do any CD's work? Could just be the disk or drive could be fucked.

Do you have AnyDVD installed - it's probably not that tho.
