YOUR Favorite World Champion - AWA
 

Alrighty, here is a choice of AWA Champions.

That means we covered WWF/WWE, WCW, NWA/TNA, ECW and AWA.

Basically all of the "major" promotions. In the very near future I will be doing something special that will add to this as well, but for now, place your vote for YOUR Favorite AWA Heavyweight Champion.

I myself voted for Nick Bockwinkel.

Bock represented AWA with class and as a true legend. Whenever the AWA is mentioned, of course Verne is mentioned, but moreso [and usually right away in my experiences] Bockwinkel is brought up. He's always associated.

Verne was a good champion too, I just didn't vote him due to his situation in the company, etc. and the fact that I always like Bockwinkel more, but that's just me. Corino gets a mention as well.

I am shocked here.

I thought for sure Eric Priest would've been up like 20-0 right now.

Never really knew that Henning until long after the AWA was defunct before its revival that he was their World Champion. :$ I was very surprised. However, I voted for Bockwinkel too.

Most people never knew Lawler was involved with them.

AWA in their later years, and since the revival frankly, has not been what it used to be. It would seem to me that at some point the AWA brand will make a disappearance and not return.

BTW, we'll have a new AWA Champion sometime this year - as Corino is set to retire this December, meaning that opens up the Championship for taking.

They've made some serious mistakes with the Title.
