One of my favorites when growing up was Hunter Hurst Helmsley v. Owen Hart for the IC belt, back when Chyna was still a man/woman instead of a woman/man.

New Age Outlaws vs. Chainsaw Charlie and Mankind/Cactus Jack/whatever the fuck he was then.

Brian Pillman versus Barry Windham

The WM 14 Dumpster rules match :'(

Jericho v Malenko, Lynn v Van Dam, AMW v Triple X

That was a hell of a feud.

Orton vs Foley 04 was in my mind fued of the year, it was midcard, and I feel its underrated

Saturn Vs. Raven's Flock in WCW was pretty awesome, and ended in a great match at Fall Brawl 98.

Chris Benoit Vs. Kevin Sullivan had some great brawls that barely anyone remembers.

Al Snow Vs. Road Dogg - their series of hardcore matches in last 98/early 99 were fun as hell. Not really a true feud, but still worth a mention.

And while this doesn't at all qualify as it in fact, main evented a pay-per-view, I always thought the Rock/Benoit feud for the WWF Title was fantastic.
