Rewind: "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff

Am I the only one who thinks he was criminally underrated during his career and deserved a World title run in either the WWE or WCW? What are your thoughts of "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff?

I certainly liked him more than Hogan and was rooting for him to take the belt from Hulky...but I could say that about King Kong Bundy too...

But King Kong Bundy couldn't have carried the E, and I'm asking if anyone here thinks maybe Paul Orndorff could have, even if only for a while. Of course, he couldn't have done so as a heel at that time, even though one of my single favorite moments as a wrestling fan when I was a kid was his turn on Hogan in the match against Bundy and Studd. But I wonder if Orndorff as a face could have or should of held the belt.

Yeah he deserved a shot with it. He was very well over.

But Piper deserved it more than anyone at the time.

Piper deserved it more than anyone, ever.

Back on topic, Orndorff should've had an IC Title run.

Destor 03-26-2007 08:08 PM

Yeah, IC title is about what he deserved.

Destor 03-26-2007 08:08 PM

But really, being a guy who at any moment could win the strap was the perfect place for him. Still, should've gave him some at some point.

Wonderful isn't quite Perfect, Mister.
