The One, who ARE your top 50 wrestlers?

Since Bret Hart doesnt make your top 50. I'm rather curious.

The One 03-28-2007 01:48 AM

Not an exact order, but it's safe to assume the higher up the list, odds are the more I liked them...Also this is off the top of my head, so I may have accidentaly overlooked some people. I can safely say I would put every single one of these people (and many more honestly) over Bret.

Ric Flair

Kevin Nash
Steve Austin
Mick Foley
JBL
Roddy Piper
Harley Race
Triple H

lol stfu

The One 03-28-2007 01:57 AM

Actually, that's not a bad list, I already remember Andre and Alex Shelley. But honestly, I never got into Bret. Really the only matches of his that I enjoyed were his matches with Austin and Michaels.

Funky Fly 03-28-2007 02:16 AM

Jeff Jarrett, X-pac, Road Dogg and Sandman are all ahead of Hart? WOW.

The One 03-28-2007 02:20 AM

Based on character, how much of a markish reaction they can draw from me, and matches of theirs that I've liked...yeah...they are all ahead of Hart. Truthfully, I found Bret painfully boring for most of his career.

Funky Fly 03-28-2007 02:23 AM

But the Road Dogg? Honestly...

The One 03-28-2007 02:25 AM

Can't fault me for that. New Age Outlaws are my favorite tag team of all time. He gets on the list out of default for that alone...

Funky Fly 03-28-2007 02:28 AM

Together, sure. But separately? Hell naw.

Even now, this whole VKM thing is like shitting on what made them great.

The One 03-28-2007 02:50 AM

Yes it is. But he had 3 years with Billy that I loved. Hart had a few months with Michaels and Austin. Outside of those...negative.

Nark Order 03-28-2007 02:50 AM

Who ARE, you fucking jerk.

The One 03-28-2007 02:51 AM

Huh???

Nark Order 03-28-2007 02:54 AM

To Rectal. About the thread title.

It's like jamming scissors into my eyeballs.

The One 03-28-2007 02:55 AM

Didn't realise you were such a grammer mark.

And are you saying that hearing "who is your 50 favorite wrestlers" doesn't make you feel you've just been talking to a runny-nosed, 6-year-old kid rolling through the mall on a pair of those damnable Inspector Gadget roller-sneakers?

BigDaddyCool 03-28-2007 09:27 AM

How is Nash not #1

Finally, someone gets it.

Theo Dious 03-28-2007 09:34 AM

He's #2. As in, he's a piece of shit.

I have always LOVED Juvi in the ring. He is by far my favorite Lucha of all time. I love that man.

As for Jarrett, my support of him has always been well known. I loved his "Don't Piss Me Off" time in WWE, and his "Chosen One" era of WCW was fantastic, IMO. This was asking me who my personal top 50 are, no where did I imply that these should be regarded as the top 50 performers ever, nor do I give a shit if you agree with anyone on the list. Remember, this list is coming from a guy who's user name is based off a gimmick Billy Gunn had. It's my personal favs, so fucking blow me if you disagree with it.

First of all I'm gonna vouch for Road Dogg. Loved the NAO and loved Road Dogg in his singles career from 98-2000. It's not that he's Flair in the ring, it's just that during that time frame, I, like Tovo, was a mark for his character and performances. He was damn over.

But seriously, how can you tell him who entertains him and who doesn't. It's not like he's saying Bret is untalented, he just personally didn't like him.

Stickman 03-28-2007 02:28 PM

the One is just trying to be difficult.

PorkSoda 03-28-2007 02:33 PM

Bret Hart never really had any character. He was just :|

Road Dogg was

X-Pac was :naughty:

Taz was  :foc:

And Lita was

^

Jura 03-28-2007 02:37 PM

Brock Lesnar, IMO, didn't have character and wasn't entertaining to me. I didn't really like him but I'm sure he'd be somewhere on my Top 50.

I'm seriously not. I just never liked Bret. Nor did I like little tag-along-not-quite-there Owen.

Stickman 03-28-2007 02:41 PM

I wasn't a huge Owen fan either but he was the goods in the ring

He's pretty far up the list, and like I said, that wasn't an exact order. Nash would in all honesty probably make my top 5 if I really ranked them.

Jeritron 03-28-2007 03:20 PM

I wanna name my 50 favorite performers

The One 03-28-2007 03:22 PM

^ That is a very rough ranking, If i was asked to list it again in 10 minutes without seeing my old list I would probably have the same people but in a little different order. Its very difficult for me to say who is exactly where.

The Show Off 03-28-2007 05:44 PM

I personally cannot see how one can not have Bret Hart in their top 50 wrestlers of all time, but I'm not about to argue about it. All I wanted to hear was your top 50, and you did it so more props to you for putting your money where your mouth is. Completely don't agree with you on most of those people being above Bret Hart, but thats your list not mine.

Stickman 03-28-2007 05:56 PM

How can guys put Sandman, Styles, CM pUnk, Samoa Joe and even Lance Storm above Bret?
