Matches where the crowd made the match...

Name matches where the crowd made the match.

Cena vs. RVD - One Night Stand 2

Goldberg vs. Lesnar - WrestleMania 20

Rock vs Hogan 1. That match was nothing without the crowd.

Every single Hogan match that is considered "good" by any fans...

Jeritron 03-28-2007 06:48 PM

absolutely yes with that Hogan comment Tovo. His best matches were with Macho Man, Rock and Ultimate Warrior. And it was all thanks to the massive wrestlemania crowds.

The crowd makes a lot of matches. I can think of a good amount of ECW matches that the crowd made.

Road Warrior 03-28-2007 07:32 PM

Goldberg vs. Hogan

Cena/Michaels vs Batista/Taker on Raw.

Those crazy Chicago cats covered up a stinker.

You mean any of them without Taz?

The first blood match on Raw between angle and cena in NJ. Its a rarity that a crowd makes the match, and i rememebr being there and just thinking "holy shit, were finally being heard" little did i know, we werent gonna be listened to lol.

SammyG 03-29-2007 01:54 AM

I think the fans were absolutely great during the Lesnar Goldberg match. I was LOLING the whole way.

Dibiase vs Virgil at Summerslam for the Million Dollar Belt. The crowd made me mark out for Virgil. :shifty:

did you guys notice the crown noise piped in for Lashley? Its really noticable. I just downloaded the show and watched it. When he came out the crowd noise got extremley loud and fake for about 2 seconds and then it did the same thing when he got to the ring.

M-A-G 03-29-2007 05:25 AM

Audio problems more than likely.

Cena vs. HHH @ WM22 (thanks again to a Chicago crowd)

Hitman84 03-29-2007 09:30 AM

The ten man tag match at IYH: Canadian Stampede in 1997. It was a good angle, a nicely worked match, but not the best - and that's something coming from me as a big Hart Foundation mark! The Calgary crowd added that missing spark to the match in my view. If this match had been a bit longer, or if it had been under gauntlet or classic Survivor Series rules then it would have been excellent, regardless of where it was held or crowd reaction or anything like that.

*slightly off-topic, I know, but how would you have booked this match if it were under classic Survivor Series rules?*

Return to topic: so, yeah, this match and maybe Bret Hart vs British Bulldog, IC title, SummerSlam 1992. Everybody behind the Bulldog - amazing match only improved by the crowd reaction.

Splaya 03-29-2007 09:42 AM

I gotta mention it, it wasn't so much the whole match, but Foley's first title win. I'm sitting here thinking Wow The Rock is going to win again. Glass breaks, and I remember chills going down my spine and me jumping up and down. Chair shot, pinfall, crowd going crazy. If it had just been a normal match win, I would never remember that match. I also remember running outside in the snow and jumping on the deck barefoot because it was just one of those moments. I think everyone will remember where they were, when this match took place

My memory is failing; what were the teams?

That was an incredible match.

-Hogan v. Goldberg on Nitro. The match wasn't all that, but the fans made it seem like a classic. It is a "wrestling moment", but not a classic.

-Rock v. Hogan..that is the best crowd reaction for a match i've ever heard in my life.

-Hardys v. E & C TLC match @ No Mercy. Nice spots, good reactions from the crowd, especially at the end when E & C were still in the ring..anybody got that match???

Hitman84 03-31-2007 03:10 PM

I thought the TLC match at WrestleMania 17 was also a great match in which the crowd played a great role in the atmosphere.

Then again, there was the gimmick battle royal ... :shifty:

AdrianM 03-31-2007 05:55 PM

la resistance's matches in montreal were always good because of the crowd.

Steiner VS HHH 1 and 2. Terrible matches, but just loved the booing when steiner attacked and the cheering when HHH attacked
