Okay, not only are Raw ratings down again...They lost to the DISCOVERY CHANNEL.

One hour of Raw the previous week (Week of 19 March) does well, at 3.4 (Still down, but number one).

The funny part is that the other hour drew a 2.7, and lost to the following:

Planet Earth: Mountains (Discovery)
Planet Earth: Pole to Pole (Discovery)
Bring it On: All or Nothing (Family Channel)
Planet Earth: Deep Oceans (Discovery)

And narrowly beat out "I love New York," (VH1), which was tied in ratings (2.7 ) but had slightly fewer viewers.

That's pretty funny.

Maybe the girls at home that are all over Cena's balls went to watch Bring It On. If Discovery Channel has something big going on I wouldn't underestimate them. They've been pimpin Planet Earth for a while and the visuals look good.

Kane Knight 03-31-2007 11:48 AM

Well, I was going to make the wigger joke, but Bring it On wasn't on the same night.

I don't know if Planet Earth was on Monday Night or not, because I couldn't find data on when it aired, but it's advertised on Sundays, which would say "probably not."

Also out of the picture were a lot ofthe regular programming that people would otherwise watch on broadcast.

KingofOldSchool 03-31-2007 11:58 AM

What was on that hour that drew a 2.7?

Jura 03-31-2007 12:05 PM

I think the last half hour was Trump and McMahon were dissing each other and then Trump pushed him over the table. I think maybe there was a diva match too.

ANyone know the rating for the 26th? It was never posted in the wrestling news forum.

I don't know, and won't til Wednesday.

To your other question, I don't know for sure, but it wasn't up against a couple of shows (Heroes, for example) it normally is in the first hour (Probably the lower hour). None of the stuff on the Broadcast top ten was competitive, either. Idol on Tuesday and wednesday, for example.

Kane Knight 03-31-2007 12:44 PM

Oops. Sorry KoOS. I don't know why I thought Ninti asked that question, nt you.

KingofOldSchool 03-31-2007 01:30 PM

Oh I remember, it was the show in Indy. I think the second hour had the Eugene head shave and Cena/Benoit. Also, I think the Lashley/Masters segment was in hour two as well.

This isn't surprising, really. Discovery was actually running porn that night.

Planet Earth: Mountains (Discovery)
Up-close and personal study of breasts.

Planet Earth: Pole to Pole (Discovery)
Homosexual mutual masturbation.

Bring it On: All or Nothing (Family Channel)
Well this is actually ultra-softcore porn anyways For pedophiles.

Planet Earth: Deep Oceans (Discovery)
Deep-penetration sex.

This is obviously evidence that another Diva Search is called for.

Although it is kind of moot, I'd like to address jura's point of the teenage girl following of Cena bailing to watch Bring It On: All or Nothing.

While they may not have done it that night, I really think that if given a choice between Cena and something "girly" they would choose the latter. The girls who support Cena are a temporary and shakey fanbase, at best.

Just my two cents.

Kane Knight 04-01-2007 12:42 AM

I think the same's true for the rest of the wigger fanbase.

Kane Knight 04-04-2007 05:54 PM

Update: The Raw before Wrestlemania gained points, at 3.4 and 3. The problem being, it gained a small amount, and only in the lesser hour.

Discovery only beat the lower hour. And only once.

Most of the ratings were down this week, too.

Rob 04-04-2007 06:00 PM

They did a 4.3 this week though.

Kane Knight 04-04-2007 06:11 PM

I severely doubt that.

Mostly because the reports that come out before Neilsen shows them off tend to be ridiculously higher.

Sir David Attenborough > John Cena
