What would you preffer, a heel champion or a face champion?

Just imagine if they made him a religious zealot type character. I think Shawn Micheals would be awesome as the bible-thumping hypocrite champion who condemns everyone to hell. It would be a great spin on his current gimmick. |
Heel champions are more interesting at least in my opinion as they are constantly playing dirty, and utilizing new ideas and cheats to keep thier titles.
Wheras the face just gets an invunerability pick-up that wears off after so long. |

Back to the subject, I say I prefer a Heel Champion leading into Mania with a Face Champion afterwards till around Summerslam or Survivor Series.
Also Heel Champions tend to be better imo because it's always better to watch the underdog hero going after the superior villain, plus the factor that they had more freedom to do stuff since they were bad guys anyway. |
It really should be 70/30 in favor of the heel. Why? Like everyone else said, the face is better when he's chasing the title most of the time. There are some exceptions, obviously, but when the face is on top, there's a lot less to hope for.

Heel. Just make sure you don't overdo it. Any heel's title reign should be at least twice as long as a face reign.
