Your Guiding Light, Mr. Elijah Burke!

I think he's one of the best things in WWE right now. Definitely should be the next ECW champion. He's got the look, he's got the mic skills, and he's got that wicked running knee!

Use this thread to talk about the awesomeness that is Elijah Burke and feel free to speculate about what you think will happen with his career in the future. Try to refrain from being a ridiculous asshole, as I know most of you have mastered the art of.

I feel Punk vs. Burke will be the ECW main event feud for a while

Innovator 04-05-2007 05:54 PM

And yes Burke is the goods

I wish it would, but it won't. Size does matter in the WWE man, and both these guys are too small. The only hope is that they get pushed simaltaneously against Lashley and one of them walks out with the title.

Anybody Thrilla 04-05-2007 05:58 PM

I mark out big time for the Elijah Express. I wanna buy some knee pads so I can pull them down and run around kneeing people in the back. That's not weird, is it?

Mercury Bullet 04-05-2007 06:01 PM

When he first came in I just kinda scoffed at Burke and figured him to be some bum that would be gone in 6 months. He has really turned up the dial though and bears A TON of potential. I think it all depends on how he gets used on his way up though. I like him and all, but I could still see him disappearing for no reason at any given moment.

Buried. I give it a month.

redoneja 04-05-2007 06:10 PM

Does anyone have a clip of the Elijah Express? I don't get Sci-Fi in my dorm and I've heard alot of people mention it.

M-A-G 04-05-2007 06:29 PM

Didn't the Elijah Express used to be the that reverse leg sweep?

I think that was the Elijah Experience.

:?:

I don't really know.

Anybody Thrilla 04-05-2007 06:41 PM

Yeah, The Elijah Experience and The Elijah Express are two separate entities.

M-A-G 04-05-2007 07:16 PM

Yeah, I knew I was confused on something.

Burke is the man

ddpBANG 04-05-2007 09:18 PM

Both Burke and MVP have really impressed me lately.

I'm glad they got Burke away from Turkay when they did. Coulda really hurt his career.

BigDaddyCool 04-05-2007 09:21 PM

Is he acctaully any good, or just the smark's new champion?

Mr. Nerfect 04-05-2007 09:31 PM

He can wrestle pretty well, and he can talk like a pro. He's a legitimate Toughman competitor, used to box, and can play the piano. He also used to work in a Florida sheriff's office. There's so much potential for a crappy gimmick in any of those attributes, but they've got, as was coined on The Simpsons "Three Stooges Syndrome", which prevents any of his talents from being blown up into a comedy role by the WWE.

He's charismatic as all Hell. I'm yet to see the Elijah Express, but I shall witness it this week, as Burke is going to make me tune in to ECW. :y:

BigDaddyCool 04-05-2007 09:33 PM

So when and if I get cable, should I watch ECW or Boston Legal? Both are on at the same time, and Boston Legal does have Shat.

Hmm, that's tricky. I'm not a big fan of Boston Legal, but if it does something for you, it'll probably be better than ECW. The New Breed are making ECW improve, though.

BigDaddyCool 04-05-2007 09:38 PM

If Monty Brown is an improvement, it must have really sucked.

Haha, yeah. Well, I assume it did. I stopped watching just before Cor Von came in.

BigDaddyCool 04-05-2007 09:57 PM

I stopped watching because of either my work schedule or the cable compay figured out I was getting free cable. Or both.

The Show Off 04-05-2007 11:21 PM

Well just look below my name baby.

311 04-06-2007 06:03 AM

If Bill Watts was running that place, he'd already have traded the belt with Lashley three times.
