When the hell are they going to do a Rise and Fall of WCW dvd.

You heard me. I want to watch some god damn wCw. I miss Nash being on top and Benoit not even in the shuffle.

Kane Knight 04-05-2007 09:51 PM

That's next on the list, actually.

BigDaddyCool 04-05-2007 09:55 PM

Oh really. And I'm impressed that you were able to tell me that without calling me Hilter's favorite son or something. Keep this up and you might just earn a gold star.

Crossrine 04-05-2007 10:39 PM

I dont think a rise and fall of WCW is going to happen anytime soon. Unless they are for some reason about to do a storyline.

The One 04-05-2007 10:40 PM

Monday Night War.

KayfabeMan 04-05-2007 11:03 PM

I'd personally like to see a rise and fall of WWE dvd set.

That'd be cool.

It is more of a rise and fall and rise again but not as high and fall again and rise again, and fall and peter out, and fall and kinda get back up and fall, then level off of WWE dvd set.

Just wait a few years for TNA to buy them out...

KayfabeMan 04-06-2007 12:27 AM

I don't have that many years.

I was thinking the same thing last night, I was watching the Rise and Fall of ECW and was wishing for a WCW one.

Of course, they're not gonna make a WCW brand, so it'll never happen.

I heard some people mention 'The Death of WCW' or something as a good read...is that what it's called?

Theo Dious 04-06-2007 09:58 AM

I think so, I spent like an hour reading it in a bookstore a while back, and it was highly informative and seriously goddamn funny.

Xero 04-06-2007 10:03 AM

Death of WCW was a really great book, if you haven't read it it's a must for any wrestling fan. As well as the WrestleCrap book.

RD Reynolds is awesomeness and I will be picking up the WrestleCrap Book of Lists when it comes out.

Theo Dious 04-06-2007 10:07 AM

It gets so sarcastic towards the end too, especially with the whole Finger Poke of Doom/Goldberg's race against time across the street to try to stop it.

Xero 04-06-2007 10:10 AM

I loved the little tidbits like Chris Jericho figures ringing up as Hogan figures so he got all the profits.

Theo Dious 04-06-2007 10:12 AM

Hogan's merch numbers were overstated? THE HELL YOU SAY, BROTHER!

311 04-06-2007 10:18 AM

Somehow that doesn't surprise me.

Theo Dious 04-06-2007 10:22 AM

I always suspected that any generic "WWF" or "WWE" merchandise always went into Hogan's totals.

311 04-06-2007 10:24 AM

I wonder how much in teeshirts he went through himself ripping them off all the time.

owenbrown 04-06-2007 12:11 PM

Someone should make a Photoshop version of the potential cover of said DVD ;)

Theo Dious 04-06-2007 12:15 PM

Yeah, split in half diagonally, on the left under "rise," a photo of Bischoff in an nWo shirt, on the other, one of Russo holding the WCW title.

Terran, TPWW needs you

Pardeep 619 04-07-2007 12:07 AM

I read a bit of the death of WCW... it sounded ok until it mentioned how a talented wrestler like Perry Staurn got mis-used... then I realised the book was a piece of crap.

The MAC 04-07-2007 02:21 AM

wwe releasing a rise and fall dvd may be dramatic irony when considering the state they are in.

Tommy Gunn 04-07-2007 11:02 AM

I used to prefer Nitro to Raw during the late 90s. They had heel Hogan, the Outsiders, Goldberg Bret Hart, Sting, DDP, Eddie & Chavo Guerrero, Chris Jericho, Benoit, Rey Mysterio, Paul White, the list goes on. Then all their star power jumped ship and they fucked themselves up the ass with Russo and Arquette. I wouldn't mind a new WCW dvd, never seen Monday Wars as I've heard it makes WCW look weak as shit when they were kicking McMahon's ass.

I don't remember if I was taking you seriously or not at that point. We were still coming off a hot feud...or is it fued...I can never remember. Anyways, at the time we had beef.

IC Champion 06-21-2007 12:27 PM

It will be packaged with the Rise and Fall of the WWE. To be release in 2012 sometime.

Released by CZW Studios.

Theo Dious 06-21-2007 12:29 PM

Hmm... 2-month old topic gets bumped...

Hey BDC, guess what time it is.

Naw. That was a pretty weak feud. Anyone can get over playing the Nazi card.

You should look into Eric Bischoff's Controversy Creates Cash. He goes into great detail about the business side, moreso than the wrestling side, I would say.
