So, I just watched the Brock Lesnar DVD...

No wonder the WWE is so pissy about him leaving. They spent the entire DVD talking about him like he was their own son. Okay DVD, I suppose...but I think more interesting to watch now that he's gone. :y: Thoughts?

Probably the most entertaining segment was the botched shooting star against Angle. I can imagine their horror.

Xero 04-08-2007 03:45 PM

I haven't seen the DVD but meant to pick it up. Probably will eventually because I can probably get it dirt cheap.

Anyway, Lesnar was always awesome and I will always be a mark for him, no matter what fucked up shit he does backstage.

Brock Lesnar > The Internet

Dorkchop 04-08-2007 04:06 PM

They built him to be the biggest thing in the world and unlike everyone they've forced upon us, Lesnar had a crap load of talent.

Lots of guys put him over: Hogan, Angle, Big Show, Rock... pretty much everyone in the company at the time.

If Angle came back to WWE and put on great matches I wouldn't mind. Just as long as he comes back and doesn't get an instant super mega a-hole run through everyone push upon his return.

I probably would have been pissed if I was one of the guys who worked my butt off to put Lesnar over and he just walks out in only 2 years of being on tv.

Chavo Classic 04-08-2007 04:25 PM

I was never a fan of Lesnars matches, but the knew how to book a decent show around him. He was a formiddable and scary champion.

Dam, Smackdown really used to be the goods

RGWhat316 04-08-2007 05:40 PM

I actually have that dvd, but haven't watched it in a while. I was a fan of his during his run, and would hope he will come back one day. But he was still a selfish jackass to just walk out after 2 years, just to try something else and fail miserably. The company was built on him at the time, and he just walked out.

How they made a DVD about his career when his career was barely 2 years long with nothing of worth is beyond me. No, wait, it's the WWE. Never mind.

Just another display of the length of their boner for him. Lesnar WAS WWE's son. Not just the "Next Big Thing," he was going to be the First Big Thing, the first new megastar after the end of the Attitude Era and the beginning of whatever this will be known as (probably the Split-Brand Era or something.) With Lesnar, everyone could be happy; Vince could have his Flagship Captain Big Man, marks could have an unstoppable beast to love or hate depending on what the creatives felt like doing with him, and smarks could have their technical prodigy. When Lesnar's star fell, everything WWE had been planning crashed to the ground in a heap of flaming rubble that still hasn't been extinguished.

But people, just remember that if that hadn't happened, we may never have seen this:

So take the good with the bad.

Two words that summarise Brock Lesnar’s quick yet extremely effective rise to the top – Paul Heyman. As soon as he dumped Heyman and started talking – I lost interest in him.

Seeing as his first year included a big debut, winning King of the Ring, going over Rock, Hogan, Taker, RVD, Big Show and Angle, winning the title at Summerslam, turning from major heel to major face, winning the Royal Rumble, and winning the main event of Wrestlemania..; how can you say that he didn't have anything of worth to cover on home video? Especially when some of the matches were excellent?

Better Than You 04-09-2007 12:32 PM

Some of the best wrestling matches in the last 15 years have come from Brock Lesnar.

Jeritron 04-09-2007 12:38 PM

Yea he was excellent. His match with Rock at summerslam is really eery because of the crowd. It's a complete changing of the guard, the crowd just randomly turns on Rock.
It's a match I personally feel should have been built and used at Wrestlemania.

PorkSoda 04-09-2007 12:53 PM

Since when was there a Brock Lesner DVD?

Xero 04-09-2007 01:03 PM

Since it was released in like 2003.

DAMN iNATOR 04-09-2007 08:01 PM

There needs to be a http://www.wwe.com/content/media/ima.../29272/3899852 v. http://www.minnesotascore.com/articl...rockLesnar.jpg for the title of "The Real Brock Lesnar"...:shifty:

Xero 04-09-2007 08:03 PM

Here's a really intriguing question...

If Bobby Lashley is the black Brock Lesnar, and he's also Wayne Brady, does that make Brock Lesnar the white Wayne Brady?

BigDaddyCool 04-09-2007 08:22 PM

http://www.njpw.co.jp/news/topics/20...05/body042.jpg
On a side note, he has the worst tatoos in human history.

Xero 04-09-2007 08:24 PM

PENIS SWORD!

THE PENIS MIGHTIER THAN THE SWORD!

thedamndest 04-09-2007 08:47 PM

Brock Lesnar and Scott Steiner should have a chest bump sword fight.

Does any of that stuff matter five years later?

Jeritron 04-10-2007 12:09 AM

Well the DVD was clearly made 5 years ago, so no it doesn't, but that's irrelevant since it did when the DVD was published.

I never realized Brock is wall-eyed.

Wow.... that actually is a penis sword. I always thought it was a sword that looked like a penis, but no.... it's a dick sword. Funny him having that since he's pretty homophobic, isn't he?

The Naitch 04-10-2007 03:05 AM

The Naitch 04-10-2007 03:06 AM

Volare 04-10-2007 03:10 AM

Corkscrewed 04-10-2007 05:19 AM

RP 04-10-2007 07:48 AM

And then they can wrestle this man for the title of "The Real Goldberg."

He did, but only after seeing him on the Internet.

I'm honestly shocked he didn't break his neck.
