Raven
I want to know TPWW's opinion on Raven. I have always loved Raven, from ECW, to WCW, to WWE where he was misused. In TNA he hasn't been booked properly at all, as I feel he should be in the World Title picture. Im also wondering why he isn't on the Lockdown card. Also just think of the potential great feuds and matches he has in TNA, Christian, Joe, Angle, Sting... why hasn't this been taken care of? So lets here your opinions on Polo.

I love Raven
he isnt on the card because he has a thyroid issue |
I fucking love the Raven character. His storys are for the most part top notch. His matches are acceptable at best. He should have won the NWA Belt off of Jarrett back when they built up the feud when he first showed up. He isn't on Lockdown because of health problems, and quite frankly, for someone who has always been very sub par in the ring, his current condition makes him someone who could give Hogan a run for his "it's painful to watch" money.

I hate this new Raven character in TNA. Why he cut his hair and bleached it I'll never know. But he was fucking AWESOME in ECW.

Love the character, decent worker. Overall, thumbs-up in my opinion.
Although, I've heard he's a complete jack-off in real life, but that's here-say. :y: |

This new Raven sucks. Old Raven rules.

Raven was never the most brilliant of wrestlers, but I think he gets more credit in the psychology department, like Jake "The Snake" Roberts (who trained him). He links this to his character, and has really created a memorable one.
I think Raven's time in the sun has come and gone, though. I haven't really enjoyed him in TNA, and looking at him now...mmm. It's kind of depressing, and not because the character intends to transfer its feelings to us, but because he's a shell of his former self character-wise. When you really look at his achievements, Scott Levy has had a pretty fantastic in-ring career: WWE Hardcore Championship (27) WWE Cruiserweight Champion WWE United States Champion ECW Tag Team Championship (4) WCW Tag Team Champion ECW World Champion (2) NWA World Heavyweight Championship I personally think he should now replace Don West as TNA's colour commentator. Raven is genuinely a smart guy, and he's proven to be a great talker and a funny guy. Kevin Nash would be another great replacement, but let's face it, Nash is probably too funny for his own good, and will likely overshadow the matches; Raven could probably become a part of them. He would be pretty close to JBL in terms of colour commentary ability, in my opinion. |
People may disagree with this, but Raven is one of the people WCW didn't mis-use. Well, initially at least.
He had a great run in Atlanta. |
Johnny Polo > Raven
There, I said it. |
You're wrong
there, I said it |
<s>This</s> Raven is awesome.
Raven would make a tremendous booker, imo.
I still maintain that a Raven/Sting feud would've been money.
I really wish he never ended up in the WWE.
Yeah, his time in WWE really did a lot to kill any dreams of what Raven "could have been"...
There was a period of, like, two weeks where Raven was helping the Undertaker against the Hardy Boyz. If they had kept that going, it could've rocked. Unfortunately, like every other aborted push he got, they promptly jobbed him out and sent him back to HeAt.
Fuck that, Raven's HeAT was sheer brillance. If he hadn't of been released, that could have gone places.
The stuff he did on HeAt was awesome, but nobody watched the show.
...I did... :(
Hell it was the only times I bothered to tune into HeAT.
I hear ya. Hell, Raven/D'Lo was one of the most fun feuds in WWE at the time.
Raven is a legit smart guy. I'd love to see him team up with Paul Heyman and do something. I think those two would run a pretty fucking awesome wrestling company.
He was awesome in ECW and WCW.
Raven should be booking TNA right now.
Im glad you guys feel that way. Does anyone know how long he will be out?
