Hogan

ok, right off the bat, I don't like Hogan, never really been a fan of him or anything, but I was on the net searching for one he choked out Richard Belzer (or something), and the way he answers the questions in kayfabe, and so well, is just awesome IMO, in conclusion, I dont think just any old person could have become the biggest wrestling stars of the 80's.

here is the interview

The One 04-18-2007 02:17 PM

Hogan needs to die.

(I didn't read the post after I realised it said more than "needs to die.")

Jeritron 04-18-2007 02:38 PM

Seeing his name disgusts me. I will click on no such link, and am disgusted with myself for clicking on the thread.

Pepsi Man 04-18-2007 03:05 PM

It is pretty bad when Hulk Hogan has to correct you on the name of a move.

Rammsteinmad 04-18-2007 04:38 PM

I'd just like to say Charlie Haas > Hulk Hogan.

Everything ESPECIALLY Charlie Hass > Hulk Hogan. :y:

The One 04-18-2007 04:45 PM

A steaming mound of horse shit is especially better than Hogan so I don't get how that's at all exclusive to Haas.

Pepsi Man 04-18-2007 04:46 PM

So Haas = a steaming mound of horseshit?

*shrugs*

Learn something new everyday.

Mercury Bullet 04-18-2007 04:46 PM

I would go as far as...

dun Dun DUN......

Cena > Hogan

:shifty:

The One 04-18-2007 04:48 PM

I would take Cena over Hogan in a heartbeat.

I would also take a heart attack over Hogan, so take that for what it's worth.

Mercury Bullet 04-18-2007 04:51 PM

Everything in existence... > Haas > Cena > Hogan

And that is the end of a greater-than comparison of all things being.

Slow 04-18-2007 05:01 PM

hogan < eugene

you were asking for a less than!

Jeritron 04-18-2007 05:04 PM

hogan died in 1997, at least in my mind

Jeritron 04-18-2007 05:11 PM

Hogan puts over Sting cleanly initially at Starrcade, and returns to win the belt and put over Goldberg cleanly in 98..Then retires permenantly...returns for one or two payoff dream matches and an nWo angle in WWE and hangs up his boots forever. Discuss.

I hate Hogan more than anything, but had that been the chain of events, and he didn't hang around and kill places, wrestlers and other things dead, what would be the fan perception of him? If he had been smart enough to put over talent clean and hang up his boots after the nWo was stale and WCW didn't need him anymore, and then done the WWE return in 02 and then retired FOR GOOD...maybe me and others would view him as more of a legend and less of a destructive, insane, asshole.

Of course, maybe if he got out of the way in 97-98 and let those 2 stars get over big, WCW may not have died so quickly.

Slow 04-18-2007 05:20 PM

Either way he's a cock

The MAC 04-18-2007 05:38 PM

Hogan dying >Anything in the wrestling world.

redoneja 04-18-2007 05:52 PM

LOL this is ridiculous.

Jeritron 04-18-2007 05:54 PM

Hogan thought the Montreal Screwjob took place in April 2000 at Wrestlemania

The Genius 04-18-2007 05:56 PM

are you serious?

SammyG 04-18-2007 05:57 PM

LOL

Jeritron 04-18-2007 06:03 PM

It's one of the many things he has said that are both shocking, laughable and sheer lunacy. Yes, he said that exactly, I even heard it on the radio interview. He's nuts, and doesn't even know whats going on in the industry he has claimed to have built, but has done just as much to destroy.

Destor 04-18-2007 06:07 PM

Death to Hogan.

The MAC 04-18-2007 06:09 PM

yup hogan is so egotistical that the biggest happening in wrestling in the last 10 is a non-event because he wasnt involved. I want him to die! I want to watch him choke and froth then fucking die. I want to dig his eyes out n piss in his skull.

Slow 04-18-2007 06:35 PM

that's beautiful, man

Just look at Hogan's hairline. This is proof that his head is usually up his ass.

Besides the fact that I'm a Charlie Haas mark to begin with, my friend lent me a tape with loadsa Haas matches, and I'm loving it.

Rammsteinmad 04-19-2007 03:28 AM

I can't wait for the day Hogan dies when everyone will suddenly act all "he was a legend, R.I.P... my hero :()

I won't ever say Hogan 'Needs to die'

Did he use politics to get his own way? Yes
Did he refuse to put guys over? Yes
Does he feel he still deserves top dollar? Yes

He's not the first man in wrestling history to do these things, the guy isn't the greatest wrestler in the world, but as far as overall entertainment, in his hey-day he was awesome, he is still a draw to yolkals in the mid south, if he can still get those pay days then go for it.

I was at Mania 18, even though I'm not his biggest fan I must admit I got caught up in the atmosphere in the crowd and became a hulkamanic for one night, it was great just forgetting about all the bullshit he's done and just enjoying what it was, which at the end of the day is pretty much panto.

You can't deny that the guy was a cornerstone in the early years of what wrestling has now become, Yes it took Vince as well, but Hogan took the ball and ran with it, many others have tried with limited success.

Hogan is still one of the few babyfaces who fans (well the majority) don't get bored of and boo (maybe back in 95-96). Take Cena right now, he's basically on a Hogan like superman push for the past 3 years and fans hate it, if that were Hogan, I'd bet he'd still be as over as ever.

In closing, I think it's harsh to wish death on any man, Hogan has a legacy which we all feel he should now leave alone, but he is a business man, if he see's a potential profit from an idea, then why not go for it? The majority of us would probably do the same.

M-A-G 04-19-2007 10:03 PM

No. The rest of us aren't money-hungry, egotistical, heartless scums of the Earth who need to die.

Bad Company 04-19-2007 10:38 PM

Hogan is the man.

I think there are actually quite a few of those on this planet. Most of us just aren't in the same position to use our opportunities to grab a boatload of money, and by the same token, despite the fact that some of us MAY be egotistical, it's not noticed as much on most of us, because NO ONE CARES what was done. Face it, Hogan's ego wouldn't get as much attention as it does if it weren't for the fact that whether people want to admit it or not, they care about Hogan.

"Heartless scums of the earth" I'm not sure if I want to agree with considering all the charity work and the like that Hogan's done over time.
