Very different sound. Chester says there's no Nu-Metal in the album, and Mike Shinoda raps less and sings more.

Also looking forward to it very much. They're by no means my favorite, but I am a pretty big fan. Liked the new song the first time I heard it.

I'm still looking forward to it. Like the new song, however if the new stuff is like the other new song "Qwerty", then I'll definitely like the new cd. It may not be nu-metal, but "Qwerty" is a nice and heavy song.

This song is boring the hell out of me. The last good thing I heard from them was a Raven Riley porn that had the Linkin Park/Jay-Z concert in the background.

I can't tell any difference. Except I saw the video and was amazed how a guy wearing Black Leather and Aviators while sporting a mohawk could look completely non-threatening.

Isn't that the point? To be as generic, repetitive and nonthreatening as possible?

oh, and on a pathetic level: qwerty is like the first six letters on the top row of a computer keyboard.

I know LP got loads of criticism because of the way they formed in the first place, but I loved the other 2 albums (I do not consider the re mixes albums) so I will buy this one, good to see they are trying to change with the times.

Shame Fred Durst couldn't do the same

Still think Meteora is their best one. Gonna have to check the rest of the tracks on this new album as their single hasn't really sold me.

Just finished listening to it. Far and away their best album, to my ears at least. if you're looking for another Hybrid Theory, or even another Meteora, look elsewhere, cuz this ain't it.

I love it. First time I listened to Meteroa I wasn't sure if I like the newer sound but I ended up growing into it. This one I loved every song from the first listen, just like Hybrid Theory.

About 3/4 through listening to it as I write this, I am impressed. Nothing ground-breaking but it's a nice album, I like it better then their others.

btw, everyone should d/l LP Underground 6.0. For those that don't know, this is a cd for the paying members of the LP Underground. In other words, it's REAL. QWERTY live is fucking awesome. 6 tracks on it.

I like this CD a lot. Wasn't a big fan of "Given Up" at first, and it's still not one of my favorites but it isn't bad. The rest of the CD is the goods.

Basically, in terms of sameness, they have a couple songs that do not have heavy power riffs, but sound like the loops from other songs before the usual power chords and such come int.

They have songs that sound like the last CD, sans rap.

They added the word fuck into a song, breaking their tendency to clean music.

They otherwise did what they usually do. Make the same record. The songs are all very similar, structurally, musically.
