Could anybody point me in the direction of some videos/clips of pole matches from whenever and in any company. I'm not too familiar with many of 'em (Bossman/Nailz?, Foley/Rock come to mind)

Nailz looks like a young Jim Gaffigan.

As a kid, I loved that Nightstick match. I dunno why, Nailz was a TERRIBLE worker. Then again, awesome character.

I miss the Big Boss Man. He was a good wrestler.

Anyone remember that WCW match where there were 4 wooden boxes on poles, 3 of them would contain weapons and the fourth had the belt in it? Didn't one of the boxes have an inflatable woman in it?

Ah yes, the San Francisco 49ers match on Nitro...One box did indeed have a blow-up doll. Another had a totally random picture of Scott Hall, who I believe was fired at that point.

After the announcers laughed at the rubber woman "weapon" I'm pretty sure someone got choked with it.

Awesome! A 'Deal Or No Deal' On A Pole match?? Dammit, I wish WCW was still in business, in a "I Wish Ed Wood Was Still Making Movies" kinda way.

I still remember Nailz's interview almost word for word before that match!

"I been waiting for this day for a LONG, LONG TIME! When I was sitting in that 6 x 9 prison cell for the last 7000+ days, all I was thinking about was what I was gonna do to the Big Boss Man. Boss Man, you and your fellow prison guards KNOW just how good of a climber I am! I was an INNOCENT man! I was put there for crimes I DID NOT DO!! You're in my prison now, and I have thrown away the key... you're gonna learn what it's like to serve hard time!"

On the subject of Nailz, I loved the way Bobby Heenan used to say he went to jail over a parking ticket that he forgot about.

He was a crappy wrestler but MAN was Nailz an intimidating and imposing character. A great character, portrayed to perfection by the former Kevin Kelly. I just watched the video, and I loved the way Nailz just walked to the ring with no music as the Bossman's interview played in the background, it lent a great atmosphere of fear to Nailz's arrival.

i remember seeing all the bruises bossman had in wwf magazine after nailz first debut and handcuffed bossman to the rope and beat him with a knight stick.

Nailz was awesome. He scared me.

That wooden box match in WCW was one of the worst ideas I've ever seen.

What a Terrible ending to the nightstick match. i always thought Nailz and Issac Yankeem were the same guy.
