What's your favorite start to a match?

I used to love those old ECW stand offs, especially the Jerry Lynn/RVD and Super Crazy/Tajiri ones, they were awesome.

Also when Bam Bam took on Taz, Bigelow's first move was a powerbomb, just just got up, totally no sold it and just got back in his face again, great stuff.

Also Mania 18, Hogan and Rock got more of a reaction by doing nothing that anything else on the whole card.

So what are you favourites?

just because of the crowd giving Lesnar the proper sendoff

I didn't even realize that match ever started.

I'll have to go with the Lynn/RVD, Tajiri/Crazy, Hardy/RVD standoffs... they're just pretty fucking cool to see.

know what I thought was cool when I saw it...when the ref presented the World Title and Orton grabbed it and nailed Angle with it before the bell rang

Crowds usually pretty loud then.</font>

Austin and Angle from Summerslam 2001, Austin comes out, Angle gets out of the ring and stares at him, both walk towards eachother in the aisle and start brawling

loved the start to Austin/Michaels at WM14. Michaels ran away from him and threw some quick jabs. Eventually he ran right into a clothesline and it was on.

Foley/Taker Hell in a Cell. You just knew Foley was a dead man when he opted to start the match on top of the cell. The anticipation of that was pretty sweet.

loved the rock vs taker vs angle match @ Vengence I think.

With rock and taker having a staredown, and Angle being left out, LOL

I think my favourite is HHH vs Rock vs Angle at Summerslam 2000. The little pre-match bit where HHH and Angle are brawling with each other, HHH bothced the pedigree to Angle on the table (legitimately giving Angle a concussion), then HHH pulls a sledgehammer from underneath the ring and then the Rock's music played and the Rock and HHH officially got the match underway.

bret/nash ss95:they each tore off turnbuckle padding to psych the other out.Montreal Brawl:bret n shawn going at it hardcore style all over the arena.That was the best part of the match..which ended in the screwjob.

My favorite opening to a match was at ROH Road to the Title, Low Ki was taking on The Amazing Red the two of them did about a minute long chorographed martial arts fight to open the match, I thought that was pretty cool. The match ended up not being that good though.

I loved the Rock/Taker KOTR 99 start.

I was just about to type that. I thought that was awesome....ref turns away to give the timekeeper the belt, and Taker just knocks him out.
