What's the worst review score you've ever seen?
Any game applies here. On a 0-10 ranking scale, how close have you ever seen a game get a review so bad that it was at or approaching a 0 review?
The closest I ever saw would have to be some paintball game that got a .7 - Worthless from IGN. Discuss -- please! |
Actually just found it through a search on IGN. It was called (get this...) Extreme Paintbrawl:nono:. \/
http://media.gamestats.com/gg/image/...oxart_160w.jpg As for said review, complete with .7 - Worthless review score right there staring ya in the face on the page, here it is.<!-- ign_inc_detailsbox_lists.jsp --><!-- userToolsHead --><!-- /userToolsHead --><!-- userToolsControls --> <!-- /userToolsControls --><!-- align height of userTools with the box shot --><SCRIPT type=text/javascript>if (document.getElementById("objectDetailsBoxTop")){var headerHeight = document.getElementById("objDetBoxClubHeadImg").getAttribute("height");var boxShotHeight = document.getElementById("objectDetailsBoxTop").getElementsByTagName("IMG").item(0).getAttribute("hei ght");document.getElementById("objDetBoxClub").style.height = (boxShotHeight - headerHeight - 3)+"px";}</SCRIPT><!-- /align height of userTools with the box shot --><SCRIPT type=text/javascript>getSubmittedData("http://websvc.ign.com/objectWebService?entityid=10455&format=json&callback=getScoresboxData");function getScoresboxData(jData) { networkResourcesLength = jData.object.networkResources.length - 1; networkResourcesIndex = ""; // Search for Correct network ID for (var i=0; i<=networkResourcesLength; i++) { if (jData.object.networkResources[i].networkId == 12) { networkResourcesIndex = i; } } if ( jData.object.networkResources[networkResourcesIndex].displayScoreBox == 'true' ) { document.getElementById("clubCBInputReleased").style.display =""; document.getElementById("clubCBInputReleased").style.display =""; document.getElementById("checkBox_10455").style.display =""; } else { if(document.getElementById("clubCBInputUnreleased") != "" && document.getElementById("clubCBInputUnreleased") != null) { document.getElementById("clubCBInputUnreleased").style.display =""; } document.getElementById("checkBox_10455").style.display ="none"; }}</SCRIPT> <!-- without this br, IE6 will have text from buttons spill outside of form element --><!-- /ign_inc_detailsbox_lists.jsp --> |
I think I've seen a 0 in GameInformer or EGM.

Some Playstation mag (Play, maybe) a few years ago gave Jet Ion Grand Prix a 1/10, there's also Big Rigs: Off the Road Racing's 1.0 on Gamespot.
|
Pimp My Ride for 360 got a 2.9 from IGN. Review is pretty rofl.

The worst rated game on gamespot right now. Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing for PC 1.0 Abysmal |
One of the EGM reviewers gave Mortal Kombat Advance a 0.5/10. I remember he said it was "one of the most uplayable things he's ever played, & there was no way Midway beta-tested it before they sent it out." lol
|
Yeah definitely MKA.
|
Superman 64 got a really low score from EGM, I'm not sure if it was lower then MKA though.
|
Superman 64 had the lowest rating from EGM for years until another game (possibly MKA) beat it.
|
Yeah MKA beat it, pretty sure. I think there was another game that got a 0.0 score, but I don't think it beat MKA's average of 0.5.
|
Wasn't the 0.0 game some chat thing for the DS or something?
|
Maybe it was.

Hmm...seems strange, especially if you're referring to the hardware that comes built into each DS (the WiFi chat or whatever it is)...to me that just seems like it'd be a N/A, not "0-10 rank it!" free for all for critics, but because I asked in the first place I digress.:p

Here is the IGN review http://www.tpww.net/forums/newreply....eply&p=1716632 to busy to read it, watching office and commercial break just ended. |
Just recalled another. Elf Bowling 1 & 2 on the DS. IGN gave it 1.0 in every category. Closing comments are as follows, "Look, these Nintendo DS games even lack the ability to actually quit the action back to the main menu, which shows just how much effort went into these ports. Hint: it wasn't much. It's a single-chuckle joke that's extended into a 20 dollar purchase. And once that laugh is expelled, you're left two of the crappiest games ever developed on the Nintendo DS platform. Merry Christmas." Basically some flash game that you could play online transfered to the DS.

Just go to something Awful.com. They rate all the worst games ever, and the highest score a game can get is a -1.
