Say goodbye to the days of “slutty” WWE Divas, at least for now. WWE has adopted a new policy to present its female performers in a classier light.

While the Divas’ sex appeal will not be completely downplayed, the company will present women in a more professional light. An image consultant was hired to advise the women on how to “look classy and not come across as slutty on television.”

In addition to hiring new stylists, WWE provided the women with less revealing outfits.

The new policy is likely part of a plan to appeal to mainstream advertisers.


Thoughts? I think they should focus on the Divas' wrestling skills more than their outfits...

The only reasons guys watch them is cause they are slutty....now its just going to be even more reason to tune out when they roll out into the ring. If I have to watch a shitty match with no back story and many botches, I want to see some titties.

Just food for thought. I order only one WWE PPV a year, Wrestlemania. If WWE said they would have naked Divas matches with like Victoria, Stacey Kielber (I know shes not anymore but...) Torrie, Mickie, Nitro, Lazer... whatever their names are, I would probably buy more PPV's. Especially if they would get Trish back.

Yes, true, for a lot of us I'm sure, not just you. But the thing you have to remember is you're talking about WWE, not WEW.

I personally don't give a crap about the slutty divas in WWE. I just want to see some good wrestling.

I find it funny how WWE only want slutty plastic divas who can't wrestle and now they don't want them to be super slutty. If they can't wrestle and aren't super slutty who the hell is going to want to watch them?

Dork, we all concur. Except I (and others) don't mind seeing scantily clad hotties every now and again while we watch one of the gayest shows we could possibly watch.

If I want T&A, there's better T&A on TV. hotter women. I mean, there are some hot women in westling, but then there's also Lita in a swimsuit :sick:

I doubt their skimpy outfits are really gonna go anywhere anytime soon. Seriously, if RAW tonight doesn't feature a diva's match with the girls wearing something at least slightly skimpy I'd be very surprised.

Honestly I think in the past eh... since like 99, I'd say WWE/F a lot of the times do have the hottest women on TV. Also, im sick of the camera cutting away when they bend over going through the ropes. They are the ones who wear the thong, so we should get to see it! Im not talkin Lita thong either (which KK I agree with your opinion on her) im talking Mickie James im about to see some turkey thongs.

Um, am I the only one who thinks this is a good idea? Honestly, I could never care about an Ashley Massaro type character, just because she either didn't seem to dress herself, or if she did, she better be willing to say "Yes," if I met her in an alley, or I would scream false advertisement.

I'm sorry, but the way the Divas dress is completely unrealistic and cartoonish. I cannot believe Ashley Massaro would sleep with any single fan that came up to her, so why dress her up like she would? It's what makes the whole Diva thing stupid.

I still think the WWE will bust out the odd bikini contest. It's just that Michelle McCool isn't going to dress in a bikini while she's fixing the generator, or whatever excuse the WWE made up in hiring her.

Oh, and heel Divas should (and probably will) keep the slutty look. Victoria will probably dress the same, being a queen bitch and all; and I really doubt Melina will change, which is a great thing. To be perfectly honest, you can make excuses for Mickie James, being the psycho that she is. Most of her costumes seem fashionable, too. I can buy her actually wearing some of her tops and skirts outside of wrestling, just because they look damn good, but wouldn't catch her pneumonia, or anything.

So yeah, I think this is a good move. The women won't look like such fucking teases, which is actually a heelish thing to personify. Unless Ashley Massaro and Candice Michelle plan to start sleeping around, they better prove the scientifics about how their outfits make them move faster. People might actually be able to start investing themselves in their personalities, as well (Ha! I kid, the WWE still won't give their women personalities.).

Oh, and a step in slowly giving their women realism and depth should be to shut up Jerry Lawler. Honestly, I can tell if a woman is hot, as can anyone at home. I can understand that the WWE might try and brainwash us into liking John Cena, but they do not need to convince someone on the terms of sexuality, which is pretty much hardwired in. Lawler needs to shut up. Honestly, if I was a new fan to wrestling, I'd assume Lawler was gay he was overcompensating so much.

Good reply Alienoid. As I have said before, I am all for a legit womens division, I don't need the divas to look like sluts but I don't want to ever see a Bertha Faye type on my screen again.
