Holy fuck, Judgment Day is going to suck...
* John Cena vs. The Great Khali for the WWE Championship
* Vince McMahon, Shane McMahon & Umaga vs. Bobby Lashley in a 3-on-1 Handicap Match for the ECW World Championship Granted, that's only two matches, but it's 0-2 so far. Assuming that they only have seven matches, that means only five can possibly be interesting, which means Judgment Day (short of anything but a miracle) can only have a 71.4% awesome rate. That's not even three quarters of the show. Ah well, at least Kane's poster looks awesome: http://www.wwe.com/shows/judgmentday/ |
The 3-on-1 didn't capture my imagination at Backlash. Why the fuck are they doing it again? A way for them to make it interesting:
Next week on RAW, Vince McMahon is doing one of his gloating segments, as he has defended the belt successfully against Rob Van Dam, but then Linda McMahon's entrance music hits, and she comes out and says that she regrets to inform her husband that the Board of Directors believes Vince serving as Chairman while being ECW World Champion is a conflict of interest, and seeing as he has made matches for himself as Champion it shows intent to remain Champion, so Linda has been made temporary Chairman of World Wrestling Entertainment. Vince doesn't seem too worried by that, but then Linda tells him that what he's doing to Bobby Lashley just isn't fair. Lashley should be able to choose two partners to team with him heading into Judgment Day. The next week, Vince McMahon has seemingly shaken it off, and his men are beating down Lashley, as McMahon gloats that everyone in the WWE is afraid of him, so they won't step up to team with Lashley. Cue the lights dimming, and then a slight red tint coming over the arena. Kane's maniacal laugh can be heard. "Viiiiiince," and Vince pretty much pisses himself. "I'm not afraid of you! A-ha! A-ha-ha-ha!" If Shane is on the ball, he can hold his testicles during this segment, remembering what Kane did with the battery in 2003 just after he lost his mask. As for who could join Bobby Lashley and Kane, I'm thinking Santino Marella. Originally I thought Marella and RVD would make great partners for Lashley, but RVD obviously isn't signing, so methinks he should not be placed in any high profile matches. Although, and this is just the pure jobber mark me in me talking, I would piss myself with glee if Rob Conway returned and tried to get some revenge on Vince for firing him. So yeah, Judgment Day, as it should be: * John Cena vs. The Great Khali for the WWE Championship * Edge vs. Matt Hardy in a TLC Match for the World Heavyweight Championship * Vince McMahon, Shane McMahon & Umaga vs. Bobby Lashley, Kane & Rob Conway - Maker of Fall Wins ECW World Championship * Batista vs. Mark Henry * Melina vs. Candice Michelle vs. Mickie James vs. Victoria in a Fatal Fourway Match for the WWE Women's Championship * Chris Benoit vs. Montel Vontavious Porter for the WWE United States Championship * Ric Flair vs. Carlito Heat: * Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch vs. Cryme Tyme for the World Tag Team Championship (I expect The Hardys to lose the belts before the PPV) They should really start doing what ROH is planning on doing, and tape more matches before the PPV event, and include them on the DVD and/or the shows like Heat the following week. Or they should turn the RAW, ECW and SmackDown! before the show into a "PPV Edition". I don't know, but there are not enough guys getting exposure from this tri-brand shit. They should use the "Free For All" time for matches. Have Santino Marella defend the Intercontinental Championship against Randy Orton, or something. Matches worth seeing. |
lol at Kane on the poster. Watch him not even have a match.
What a shitty product WWE has right now. I rather watch Real World/ Road Rules Challenge.
WWE sucks period.
To be honest... I haven't been this interesting in Raw and the WWE in quite a while. I'm watching the replay of Raw and I am enjoying what I've been seeing over the past two weeks.
Only prob I have with your booking A06 Is that yet again its Benoit and MVP, ok that isn't bad, but add some flavour, a ladder match, steel cage or something.
Yeah, I get what you mean. A standard match seems kind of...bleh, again, but Benoit needs to be doing something, and this thing with MVP is still going. I'm not really sure which way to spice it up, as I think gimmicks would actually take away from the match. If anything, I'd maybe have it be under MVP's rules, which would be some kind of heel gimmick MVP comes up with, so he there is no way he can technically lose.
How about a Tooth-on-a-pole match, where if MVP wins he gets to keep his teeth and win the belt if not, he removes a tooth and gives it to benoit. Oh yeah that fucker has to be gold plated too.
So far, this PPV card reminds me of an uninteresting episode of Nitro.

Umm...didn't we basically HAVE a 3 on 1 handicap match at Backlash dressed up as a "Triple Threat", with the SAME DAMN PEOPLE, with the exact same stips?!! We're doing the EXACT SAME MATCH!! Only this time it makes LESS sense.
And is it me, or has the Judgment Day event in general been lazily booked (talking by today's WWE standards...not much to go on, I know, but still) these past few years. Sure, we've had some good matches IN the lazy cards (Eddie vs. Rey and Cena vs. JBL at 05), but normally we don't get too much out of the Judgment Day event. It's like it's the PPV that never was. |

The WWE has been credited with putting on good television since WrestleMania. Say goodbye to that. I couldn't care less about John Cena vs. The Great Khali, which is a step down from the slight interest they generated with their colourful match at Backlash. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt: They didn't have much of an option on RAW. Shawn Michaels is at last taking some time off, it seems, but why not do something crazy. I don't know, instead of this Great Khali shit, why not have Matt Hardy challenge Edge for the World Heavyweight Championship, and have Jeff Hardy face Cena on RAW. Now I am not the biggest fan of Jeff Hardy, or anything, but that match would be twice as fun and thrice as memorable as John Cena vs. Khali. It also gives the event its own theme: The Hardys both challenge for World Championships. A John Cena vs. Jeff Hardy match might not set the world on fire, but it is at least punctuation in a WWE were there are three fucking World Titles. At least one of them needs to be a breather. |
And those two matches are bound to be the most booked on the card... why the fuck is vince and lashley still feuding?

I usually watch every ppv, but I'm going to miss this one due to a concert, and so far I'm not regretting it.
Anybody wanna buy tickets? :(
Only if you throw in a blowjob from someone hot.

.................... ............Sorry couldn't find any. :( To have a match you had at the last PPV at this PPV when no one really cared about it, is just ripping the fans off, tbh. |
Holy shit it's gonna be bad, DM.

It'll be interesting o see whats happening on the SmackDown side of things. We could end up with Baticta v Mark Henry. Imagine that for a PPV!! |
^ Especially when you have khali going for the WWE title. Khali is fucking shit, his problem is he thinks too much before he does something.
WWE.com made the announcement today that Chris Benoit will faceoff against MVP once again, this time in a 2-out-of-3 Falls Match.
That could save the PPV.
Benoit vs. MVP will be good, no doubt about it, but it's going to chew up time. I mean, they deserve it and all, but I dunno. I think I'd rather see the match on an edition of SmackDown!.
Ah well, that be good news for Diesel. :) The WWE should use the 20 minutes spare they have by usually finishing early, and just throw it at this match. Don't cancel something else because this is on the card, and it could be brilliant. I hope the WWE isn't silly enough to have Candice Michelle challenge for the Women's Championship. Yeah, she's improved. She's not better than Mickie or Victoria, though. I suggest a Fatal Fourway Match, with Mickie James, Victoria and Candice all challenging for the belt. Jimmy Wang Yang also seems to be sneaking up on Chavo Guerrero, and Paul London & Brian Kendrick's chase for the WWE Tag Team Championship continues. These programs should make the PPV. You can't just choose to showcase the same Championships over and over. Of course, they aren't going to make the card over Batista vs. Mark Henry. |
God, those matches sound shit Alienoid.
They also added Punk vs Burke on ECW. The Undercard may save the PPV from its lackluster Main Events
Something like HBK vs Orton vs Edge ladder or TLC match for the MITB briefcase would be sweet. :y:

Chavo Guerrero vs. Jimmy Wang Yang would kick ass. They had a great match on SmackDown! a few weeks back, just after Chavo won the Cruiserweight Title. Since then both men have been forgotten, but if they get a feud going, it will work. |
I just read Diesel Mac's post, and while it may be too late to do something with this MITB title shot, maybe they could hold another MITB Ladder Match? Have the title shot expire at WrestleMania 24, like the previous one, so they can still do the gimmick next year.
Matt Hardy, Jeff Hardy, Finlay and Randy Orton are all available from the MITB Ladder Match at WrestleMania 23. Only have two other spots up for grabs, and give them to Rob Van Dam and Shelton Benjamin. That match would be quite the bit of fun. But yeah, we're going to get CM Punk vs. Elijah Burke, which will be a great little match. Punk and Burke both have got some great potential. I guess it is too much to hope that the New Breed stay out of it. I'm still for a Burke's New Breed vs. Punk's New Blood feud (just a name I threw out there based on Kevin Thorn's Sci-Fi promo...and to bring back memories of Shitty WCW), just keep the pawns out of this one. Have Punk go over, and then have Striker and Cor Von come out and slap Punk around a bit. Cue Kevin Thorn, who saves the babyface, and we get the two shaking hands and realising they have a common enemy now. |
A vampire can never be a good guy Alienoid. Wait, forgot about Blade. :shifty:

Well since I read the spoiler in another thread, Edge vs Batista at JD would be a LOT better then Bats vs Mark Henry.

I'd rather see Matt Hardy vs. Edge since they've already got a history there and Matt's already scored pinfall victories over a former World Heavyweight Champ and the ex-MITB within the last month. |
