Johnny Nitro

I thought they were supposed to be going somewhere with him. But now he's only been appearing on Heat and losing, teaming up with Kenny?

He could be a great heel but they're blowing it with him it seems.

TNA's X Division in his future?

BigDaddyCool 05-08-2007 03:35 PM

Hmmm, they could be doing something with him, but they have a ton of heels right now.

Mercury Bullet 05-08-2007 03:44 PM

He'd be a face to the TNA crowd because he made the jump from WWE.

BigDaddyCool 05-08-2007 03:47 PM

No, I meant WWE has enough heels in the uppermid card right now, that is why he is down on Heat, plus he is just a smaller, younger Edge character wise (plus looks wise as well).

Jeritron 05-08-2007 03:47 PM

He was supposed to fued with Foley, his pushed got killed this winter and he's probably dead in the water

Mercury Bullet 05-08-2007 03:51 PM

Nevermind, i'm an idiot.

Stickman 05-08-2007 04:47 PM

One of the few guys I kinda sorta like.

.44 Magdalene 05-08-2007 07:50 PM

Yeah, I was starting to like Nitro. He's at least got a look to him, and his little breakdance-Capoeira-legdrop thing made me mark out something fierce.

I just hate what he wears. Everytime he comes to the ring, I keep thinking he's supposed to be some sort of caveman.

DAMN iNATOR 05-08-2007 08:08 PM

Nitro will never amount to anything more than a mid-carder.

The Ravishing One 05-08-2007 08:11 PM

I'm loving the fact he's starting to use the neckbreaker. The Rude fan in me is marking out for that.

Don't worry, just post more so we see your avatar more.

I like Nitro, he has plenty of potential but I think he's somewhat in the "doghouse" at the mo.

And if there was a fued planned with Foley it seems HHH has put the dampners on that.

Theo Dious 05-09-2007 11:56 AM

Nitro needs to take on Flair as his mentor and become the new "Nature Boy."

Super V 05-09-2007 02:23 PM

They've separated him from his T&A. He has no hope.

Theo Dious 05-09-2007 02:27 PM

Who has ever gotten majorly over on T&A alone? Might I also point out that Shawn Michaels got his first real success AFTER dumping his?

Londoner 05-09-2007 02:31 PM

If you're going to call yourself Nitro and wrestle in the WWE, you're never going to go anywhere.

Super V 05-09-2007 02:31 PM

Edge

Theo Dious 05-09-2007 02:32 PM

Are you on drugs, son?

Super V 05-09-2007 02:34 PM

Edge's first main event push was slowly dwindling till his feud with Kane, and then Matt Hardy, over Lita ignited. Then he broke through. He's managed to stay up there without her though.

Theo Dious 05-09-2007 02:39 PM

That had nothing to do with T&A, it had to do with Edge fucking Matt's girlfriend. If "Matt's girlfriend" had been some offscreen slut who never appeared on TV, it wouldn't have been much different. I personally felt that having her hanging from his nutsack actually impeded his push rather than helped it. The fact that Edge has remained well over, and probably gone up a few notches, since Lita left, pretty much tells you that he was over with or without her.

BigDaddyCool 05-09-2007 02:41 PM

Interesting point.

Super V 05-09-2007 02:41 PM

Fine fine. Replace T&A with attractive heel feminine manager. So far Nitro hasn't been able to be someone you could pay your undivided attention to.

Meh, I thought he was pretty cool when he was Bischoff's "apprentice," he was just unpolished.

Theo Dious 05-09-2007 02:46 PM

And BTW... Lita is NOT attractive.

Super V 05-09-2007 02:55 PM

She had this whole...I dunno...ordinary look about her though. Refreshingly attainable? Idk. She wasn't ugly.

Theo Dious 05-09-2007 02:57 PM

She had this whole filthy, tattoo covered, manufactured-counter-culture, wierd facial structure look to her.

Though since in WWE "attractive" generally means "possessed of, and willing to flaunt, big titties," your statement was technically accurate.

Mr. Nerfect 05-09-2007 06:47 PM

Lita is pretty "ew" these days, but I can understand why men would stick her one. It's like she pops a ball out of her mouth that has a piece of paper inside, telling you how good you are.

But yeah, Johnny Nitro doesn't need Melina, but I don't know why they have been separated. Melina is meant to be a heel, and while I like the occasional strong Champion, I don't know why she continues to go over her opponents clean. Victoria is a woman that could be given the dominant female gimmick, but Melina (as she is in real life) seems like the kind of girl who doesn't have the ring experience (yet) to be the Triple H of women's wrestling. Have Nitro by her side and help her pick up wins.

If Nitro were helping Melina with her matches, it would lead to programs with boyfriends of the month, Val Venis (porn star/Divas, it works) and pissed off guys just trying to help out their valet/manager. It wouldn't be a push of sorts, but it gives him something to do, at least.

I think he will eventually be put into a program with Santino Marella over the Intercontinental Championship.

Better Than You 05-09-2007 10:19 PM

Nitro is REALLY terrible. I hope they let him go tommorrow.

That wasn't Edge's first ME push.

Yeah, his SmackDown! Six days came before that. You could maybe argue the Edge/Angle program, but that was more upper mid-card, in my opinion.

Mr. Nerfect 05-10-2007 12:31 AM

Johnny Nitro should take a walk from the WWE, and team up with Joey Coke on the indy scene. Johnny Hempigan and Joey Coke for ROH World Tag Team Champions. :shifty:

Theo Dious 05-10-2007 12:34 PM

Edge had taken the first steps of his first ME push when he was injured. He came back to discover that, for some reason, the crowds had seriously soured on him, so he had to start over. His first ME push that panned out started when he won tHe MITB.

Anybody Thrilla 05-10-2007 01:51 PM

Whenever Edge was using that "Never Gonna Stop Me" theme, I hated the shit out of him.

As far as Nitro, I love him in the ring, but he could really use some mic skills. Like, real bad. I think Nitro and Melina should be forever aligned.
