...the only man to have won every Championship possible for a wrestler to win in the current WWE landscape?

He's been World Tag Team Champion seven times with Christian, once with Hulk Hogan, twice with Chris Benoit and once with Randy Orton. He's held the WWE Tag Team Championship with Rey Mysterio. He's been Intercontinental Champion five times in his career, and he was the last United States Champion before the belt was retired, temporarily unifying it with the Intercontinental Championship. Of course he's also been WWE Champion and World Heavyweight Champion.

So yeah, I'm just trying to think of another man who has held every single open Championship the WWE current has sanctioned, and I can't think of one. Kurt Angle comes close, but he was never World Tag Team Champion. Chris Benoit only has the WWE Title to go. King Booker needs the WWE Tag Team Championship.

I think Edge could call himself the only man to hold the RAW and SmackDown! Triple Crown.

ECW title is under the ECW name...not WWE....but give them time...im sure before ECW goes away once again that they will give Edge that belt also..

No he has not. The European Championship and Hardcore Championship are retired though (and one could argue that he did technically hold the belt with Mick Foley when they were named honourary Co-Champions by Foley during their heel run together last year). I mean, people still don't talk about the WWF North American Championship like it's relevant, so I think it is sadly time to move on from the European and Hardcore Championship era.

Edge hasn't won the Cruiserweight Championship, but I don't consider it an "open" Championship. There are weight restrictions applied to it. Some titles are just not able to be won by certain guys. The Cruiserweight Title and Women's Title are two examples of this. That's why the Light Heavyweight Championship was never part of the Grand Slam.

Haha, I must confess I forgot about the ECW World Championship. I could cover it up by saying "That's a title?" but I'll give it some dignity. It is kind of blurry to me, though. I mean, did the WCW Championship count as a WWF or WCW title when Kurt Angle held it? The WWE is the one santioning the title, so I guess it would be included under their umbrella of Championships, but it is kind of its own separate brand.

He can still claim to have held the RAW and SmackDown! Triple Crown, respectively. It's just that ECW Title he has yet to win before he's won everything he can win (unless he drops some pounds and adds the Cruiserweight Title to that list).

One could make the argument that a "spoiler warning, asshole" comment should be made, but that would mean someone needs to post it in at least 453,579 threads that have been posted in the last 12 hours.

I thought that when I posted this, but then I realised that it can't be considered a spoiler. It was obviously going to happen when Edge won the briefcase from Mr. Kennedy, the WWE.com acknowledged it, their phone service acknowledged it, ECW acknowledged it, even Wiki-fucking-pedia acknowledged it.

Plus that would mean you wouldn't have seen the threads titled "Edge wins World Title."

That's not the same though as it has never been available to Edge for him to win. But they should bring the Euro and Hardcore titles back just so Edge can win them aswell. Actually, he has been hardcore champ, Mick Foley gave the belt to Edge didn't he?

I can fix the premise of this thread by saying "Edge has won every currently active title that he has challenged for."

And also point out that Edge has won the "titles" of King of the Ring and Money in the Bank.

He was also boinking the women's champion on-screen, so that should count for something.

That is definitely true. Also, sort of but not entirely unrelated, are Booker T and Ric Flair the only men to have won both the WWF and WCW Triple Crown? (Confining this only to guys who actually won the WCW, US, and Tag titles IN WCW.

I think Chris Benoit would be included in that list, as well. He was WCW Champion, WCW United States Champion and he won the WCW Tag Team Championship with both Dean Malenko and Perry Saturn.

In the WWE he has been World Tag Team Champion with Chris Jericho, Edge twice, WWE Tag Team Champion with Kurt Angle, Intercontinental Champion four times, United States Champion an additional three times and World Heavyweight Champion. So he's won multiple Titles on the mid-card and tag team levels.

I was going to point out that he had won the King of the Ring, as well. I must confess to leaving out the Money in the Bank, though. I think that should be considered a "special event" from now on, similar to the Royal Rumble or King of the Ring Tournament.

If Edge wins the Royal Rumble, then jumps to ECW and wins their World Championship, he will have done it all. :eek:

All that there would be left is for him to drop some pounds and get a sex change.
