Having problems with IE

It freezes and crashes constantly every day. I would like to do a reformat on my harddrive cause I've tried everything and anything. Spent hours on the phone with MS tech support only to go around in circles.

I have two internal hds and 1 external. Would it be best to make a ghost of my main drive to my 2nd internal (which only has music and porn folders on it, no programs), or just copy my files onto the external, and whipe out both internals? I was having this problem before I put in the 2nd internal so I don't see why I should format that too.

Also, which free software will let me ghost on Vista?

oh yeah forgot to add that i am also thinking of just copying files onto a drive, and doing a clean install with no ghost image or anything and reinstalling all of my programs and shit. i've only had vista since feb, so it's not like i'm trying to recover from the lost of years of computing.
