Slayer
Anthrax Metallica Megadeth Megadeth had a few good albums but were largely mediocre, I'd say Anthrax have managed to adapt best to more modern times, but Slayer at their best were just ripsnortlingly good, Metallica were great at times but have been awful since the black album. |

Slayer
Anthrax Megadeth Metallica I was listening to Rein in Blood the other day in the car and thought to myself "this has got to be one, if not the greatest metal album of all time." |
Slayer
Pantera Superjoint Ritual Gwar . . . . . . Backstreet Boys . . . . . . . That shit you named. |
Fuck off with Gwar you cock.
|
lol Gwar.
Can't believe so many people rate Megadeth so highly though |
I'm just trying to make a point, plus GWAR kills everything.

Megadeth
Anthrax Metallica Slayer I never get in the mood for Slayer anymore, but I love Reign in Blood. |
All four have released at least one terrible album. If you ignore the terrible albums each has released, they rank like this:
Megadeth Slayer Metallica Anthrax |
Stupid Risk
|
There's no way Megadeth did anything better than Reign in Blood, cliche or not I don't care.
|
There's no way Anthrax did anything better than like, Metallica's first four records or so.
|
Bring Tha Noize with Public Enemy beats anything Metallica has done.
|
To rate them by single albums it wouuld be:
Rein In Blood Ride The Lightning Peace Sells Among The Living |
Rust In Peace > Ride The Lightning
|

Slayer
Metallica Anthrax Megadeth A while back I bought the "War at the Warfield" DVD and a bottle of Captain Morgan's. I was in my room by myself the whole night, blacked out and woke up the next morning with a broken nose. Sometimes "Slayer" just happens. |
Ditch the War DVD and get Still Reigning. Much better, IMO.
Many of the songs sound better on the DVD than they do on the CD which is odd considering how old the guys are these days. Sadly, Angel of Death and Altar of Sacrifice are better on CD. But I first heard South of Heaven and Spill The Blood on the DVD and man was I hyped. Then I got the CD and whatever the hell was wrong with Tom's voice just ruined it for me. I'd say the Raining Blood on the DVD is also better in some areas than than the CD. I like how he screams "now I shall reign in blod" long and loud as opposed to the "rei-in-blu" you hear on the album. But I digress. Slayer Megadeth Metallica Anthrax First metal album I ever bought was Peace Sells...But Who's Buying? and the track remains my favorite to this day. I never got into Rust In Peace as much as I did Peace Sells. My favorite album of these four is by far Seasons In The Abyss. You have one of their numerous legendary "Best Thrash Song Ever" qualifiers in War Ensemble but you also get their awesome slow songs like Dead Skin Mask and the track Seasons In The Abyss. |
