Edge/HBK from Raw (Spoilers)
I really hate WWE.
Why do they pull this shit? Why do they insist on reminding us that SmackDown is an inferior berand? And by definition any wrestler on SD! is inferior to a Raw counterpart. For the second time in recent memory a Raw superstar has switched to the Blue brand and won the WHC on their first night there. And on these two occasions the new WHC and SD! superstar returns to Raw for one last match. And in that match they lose. Both times to HBK. I have nothing against Shawn Michaels he is a fantastic proformer, but he is also that guy that has been rumoured more than once to have turned down his boss' request that he switch brands to help out. And on both occasions he ends up beating the guy that did switch. IMO Edge lost a fair amount of momentum having beaten Kennedy for the MitB briefcase, cashing in on SD! to win the WHC only to lose CLEAN to HBK the following Monday. In the eyes of the marks, SD! will never be seen as anything more than a 2nd rate show if they continue to pull shit like this. Rant Over. |
Shawn steps down for nobody. Not even his wife.
Yeah, when I read the spoilers I was disgusted.
That match really shouldn't have even happened. What beef does Shawn have with Edge anyway? Why would Edge challenge Shawn? I'm pretty positive I didn't hear anything come out of Shawn's mouth that resembled a request for a match. Not that it was a bad match. My friends kept asking if it was for the title considering Shawn's usual passion he invests.

Shawn is getting old and bald. He needs to R.I.P so he should retire.
Now I see why you have a nice red dot after 54 posts.
Can we go for two?
Umm... can't remember but who was the first? Are you referring to Angle?
M-A-G: I think the reasoning was to set up a feud with Orton, but that should've worked out as Orton costing HBK the match, but instead they left it for him to attack HBK after the match which looked shit. I'm a fan of HBK, but this stuff annoys me, Edge has now lost a bit of momentum he had, and i don't feel as hyped as before about his title reign for some reason.

There was no reason for HBK to win that match, he's the most over guy on the roster. As was said earlier, Orton should have just ran in and attacked Shawn before the end. |
The match was awesome who cares. Nobody will remember except the IWC.

So, hasn't HBK beaten both World Champions clean, In very recent memory?
Sad, isn't it.
Yup.
As much as I like HBK, there was no need to have him go over at the expense of both Champs. |
On the subject of love for HBK, does anybody else think that if he isn't going to WIN the damn belt, he should stop challenging for it???
I found it strange how HBK didn't say anything in his promo and Edge starts going off "You want a match, you got it" Normally Edge is good on the stick but that made no sense.
I was thinking about this very subject last night, mostly because I was fully expecting Edge to win. But come to think about it, they probably did it so the casual fan thinks that Batista is gonna destroy Edge and capture the WHC on Sunday. And when Edge wins, it'll give home some extra heel heat.

SPOILERS:
SmackDown is terrible, with the exception of Edge. |

It sucks at the moment, all the face characters are invincible and all the heel characters job every match. that, people, is why wwe sucks now compared to, say, 6 or so years ago.
With Edge gone, Raw is haggard. If HHH doesn't return heel, they only have the not-so epic battle of good vs good for the main event scene (khali won't be in the title picture for long, and orton will never have a credible title shot). I may be alone here, but i say heel champs are much more watchable than face champs, so Smackdown is now the A show to me |

Edge should have beaten HBK cleanly, and looked like a world beater before heading over to SmackDown!, or at least lost due to Batista helping out HBK.
I was wondering about this too. They really wanted to build up the Shawn Michaels shouldn't even be out here angle. Why? To build him up to beat Orton on Sunday and then go back to Cena?
HBK doesn't lay down for anybody.
Yeah, HBK needs to go back to no jobbing for anyone, Bret Hart isn't there to ruin it this time.
