I don't think he's been a heel long enough to say. He's been awesome throughout though, so I wouldn't say no.

And there is one person he can thank for that more than anyone else: Matt Hardy.

Edge has always been good, he just needed that one spark to put him over the top. Matt provided that. Like it or hate it, reality-based storylines are good for business. Some of Jake's best feuds have had to do with some reality-based factor. (Rude making the moves on his wife, etc.) Everything that has come after has been momentum from that one incident. He isn't the best of all time, but he's one of the best of our time.

I say he is, when he lost his belt in canada to cena, then went to another city in canada he got cheered and cena was boo'd. Within a minute of getting on the mic he had the crowd booing him and cheering cena. He's far better on the mic than any other heel, he talks fast and rarely slips up, and never breaks character if he does

By that logic, Edge should just thank himself for fucking Lita.

Edge should send Matt Hardy a Christmas card every year.

Perhaps, but Hardy's reaction to that incident set the stage for the program that got him to where it is. Would Edge be as big now if Matt settled it backstage and said "You know what? Fuck both of you!" and left it at that?

Well, no. If Matt hadn't brought it out into the open, and gotten fired as a result....

Edge is probably the best heel since the HHH years of 1999, my only main issue is that he looks so skinny and normal compared to most of the main eventers, he's been booked well, so it's not that huge a problem as his matches usually involve crappy finishes.

But as far as getting decent heat on the mic (in other words not cheap heat) he's currently the number 1 guy and has been for 2 years now

Edge should go back to the Downward Spiral or Inverted DDT he used back in "The Brood Days".
