Reason for Ariel's release, plus Thorn to get a makeover?

-- As we reported earlier today, Ariel was released from her WWE/ECW contract. According to several backstage, she was released for a backstage incident with Batista. It appears that the two had an argument and she was simply defending herself.

Politically, that was the wrong move on her part. Another issue that came in to play was Stephanie McMahon’s opinion on her. Stephanie was never a fan of Ariel’s unique look and the fact that Paul Heyman handpicked her when ECW returned.


-- With Ariel’s departure from ECW, Kevin Thorn has been told he will be getting a makeover. So look for Thorn to be less of a vampire character. Sources are also saying that Dave Lagana isn’t one to “rock the boat” and will go with whatever WWE management wants, rather than fighting for the characters.

With Stephanie McMahon's promotion over talent relations last week, many wrestlers and divas are worried about their jobs and also the direction WWE will go in. Although Vince McMahon has the final say, he has been known to favor her opinions. Many see her as the reason for the releases and expect more in the coming weeks/days.

So once a month Steph fires divas for being sexy?

No, she just believes that all divas have to be slutty and blonde.

Then since the WWE likes to makes things worse they need to fire everyone who is depressed: The Highlanders

Then fire anybody who just happens to be the next person to walk down the hallway: Charlie Haas

And then I think JBL wants everyone who does not drink to be fired as well.

Ok, up to know, I have given Batista the benefit of the doubt, and have been willing to give him a chance.

And they give her a gimmick that mocks Stephanie.

Yes, because TNA does not already have enough people complaining about the WWE on their roster or enough of their roster constantly refering to the WWE product.

That's what would be different; don't have her mention WWE, in fact give her a total makeover so that she doesn't even resemble Ariel at all. Then have her be like Jeff Jarrett's sister or something, and have her running around demanding that the girls who are prettier than her be punished somehow. But God, no more "wah wah WWE sucks" stuff. Just do to Stephanie what Hogan has deluded himself into thinking WWE has done to Brooke.

It might have done better if Fertig had been better prepared to execute the gimmick. And if he hadn't been put up against Hard-ass Holly.

And if WWE could do anything right.

Batista goes on my official pussy bitch list. The Undertaker has been on there for a while, for using his personal dislike of The Sandman to equally ratio the man's professional success in the WWE.

Ariel was a damn fine Diva, that actually has some ring skills, I believe. She and Kevin Thorn had a nice little thing going on, and when he is repackaged, he will probably get into a brawl with Hardcore Holly and lose all credibility and mystique again. Joy.
