The injury bug hits Raw
Dave Meltzer is reporting today that Shawn Michaels has a blown out knee. HBK missed last nights house show and is going to try to gut it out tomorrow night at Judgment Day.
This injury is considered serious. This is absolutely terrible news for WWE as there have been a ton of top name injuries as of late. More details shortly. ---------- YAY we might get to see an extended Khali/Cena feud. |
That's about the only reason Raw's been enjoyable.
|
WoW.
Now if only McMahon could blow his brains, uh, knees out. :shifty: |

His knees are shit after all that deep throating.
...Oh, come on, like Triple H has gone down on a guy since Chyna.... |
So we lost Taker and HBK (Since Lashley and Kennedys' injuries weren't anything really). Triple H will just have to push up his return.
|
You think Trips can carry the company on those quads?

What about Kevin Nash?....I mean...
This really sucks...Orton Vs HBK was the one match at Judgement Day that I thought would still the show...sucks now that HBK wont be at 100%... On a plus side...maybe Shawn will be out now untill Trips can return...can you imagine the crowd reaction if both members of DX returned at the same time... |
Think, if they still had Scotty 2 Hotty this would be the PERFECT time to push him to the moon!
:shifty: |
Maybe this will make WWE go after Jericho a little harder though....I can hope.
|
Think you got that backwards. Trips will be returning before Michaels, if Shawn really blew out his knee.

^ Yup, HBK is looking at 8-10 mnths on the shelf. If not longer.

Especially cause next week on Impact! Hotty comes out and headbutts Angle and they brawl all over the arena for 45 minutes. Ratings are going to be through the ROOF! |

Heh...let's see if the WWE has the balls to actually push someone.
|
I have a feeling Booker T will make his return to Raw when he comes back from his injury in the next month or so.
|
That'd be great. A guy who peaked on Nitro as a Main Eventer on the flagship show.

This is bad news as RAW was barely enjoyable as it was.

For some reason im visioning that movie "Varsity Blues" in my head...
That scene where the doc is injecting steroids or what ever it was into that players leg just so he could play... Except in this case its McMahon yelling at HBK to suck it up and get out there while the Doc is injecting him... |
If the WWE actually pushed a few people now and again we wouldn't have this problem.
Shelton Benjamin, Charlie Haas, Carlito... Why aren't these guys in the main event yet? Especially Carlito... :nono: |
Haas doesn't have "it."
Shelton fucks up. A lot. Especially every time he's in a push. And Carlito? Don't even know where to start. I like all three, but are you backing the wrong horses here. |

I can't really think of anyone active that they can "give the ball to" right now. They'll probably just bring JBL out of retirement for a while. I don't believe the Hardys have what it takes, Finlay is a solid mid carder but not a title threat... maybe MVP but it's very soon for him. Johnny Nitro is buried, Striker is too small, Monty Brown is saddled with a shitty name and gimmick, C.M. Punk is too 'frowned upon', Sandman has no chance, Umaga is on a downward spiral... it's hard to imagine who is going to fill all these voids at the top of the card... other than the tried and tested monster approach. |
So......
Time to move CM Punk up to RAW, eh? |

Shelton fucks up sometimes, yeah, but it's usually when he's not being pushed. His stuff when he first showed up on RAW, and right through until his heel turn was pretty consistent stuff. I don't know why the WWE turned him heel. Carlito is another guy who is pretty damn solid when he's playing a heel role. As a face he is extrememly underrated by people, though. The WWE just didn't know what to do with him. If they had a credible heel he could have feuded with, things may have gone better. But he's a heel now and he can continue to make the climb. While I don't think any of the three should be main eventers at present, I think it is more the WWE being completely incapable of making something of its available talent (which is why I don't understand people tend to focus on TNA being the one's unable to create stars), rather than the limitations of Haas, Benjamin or Carlito. |
I would call off the match between Shawn Michaels and Randy Orton. Just have Orton take out HBK with a steel chair before the match (playng up his concussion), and make him look like a dick. Then there is a reason for Shawn Michaels and Randy Orton to have a match after HBK takes some time off.
The WWE has plenty of matches which could take the place of HBK/Orton, which was the whole point of this tri-branded thing, wasn't it? Injuries made the cards weaker, so they have a constant pool of talent? Meh, I don't expect the WWE to remember that. I mean, just look at the matches they have set up that could go in place of HBK vs. Orton: * The Hardys vs. Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch for the World Tag Team Championship * Deuce & Domino vs. Paul London & Brian Kendrick for the WWE Tag Team Championship * Chavo Guerrero vs. Jimmy Wang Yang for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship * Melina vs. Candice Michelle for the WWE Women's Championship Being the mark for them that I am, I'd love to see London & Kendrick recapture the WWE Tag Team Titles at Judgment Day, the event where they originally lost them. Seeing as Orton and HBK probably would have been given twenty minutes or so, you can probably squeeze two smaller matches in its place. Throw on Chavo Guerrero vs. Jimmy Wang Yang, and continue to build to The Hardys vs. Cade & Murdoch. Most WWE PPVs end twenty minutes early, so they could probably fit all four on if they wanted, anyway. They really shouldn't push Shawn Michaels, as he is the best thing they have going on RAW right now. I wouldn't have made the match anyway, as Orton is being a cock, and probably shouldn't be given the chance to earn a PPV payday. |
define " blowing out his knee "
|
HBK was one of the only reasons I watched Raw...
I would hope WWE would push for Jericho, but if they really need stars on Raw, I would hope Benoit would get moved over....and if JBL really is ready to wrestle again, have him make a comeback on smackdown or something (even though I really like him as a commentator). |
Wouldn't surprise me to see Mysterio moved over to the red brand. I think he's one of the only top tier guys to have never switched brands.
|
No wonder they mentioned "the match may be changed" on SmackDown!, mentioning Orton's attack as the alleged reason.
