Maybe he was tired of being diddled at that point.

Which makes sense, because Triple H has always been an avid supporter of people who have ring savvy, and has gone to bat to elevate them to greatness. Why tthey would be so thankless as to spend time enjoying themselves instead of gaining his attention by becoming better wrestlers is beyond me...
