YES YES YES!!! (Matched added to ONS)

Hardys VS WGTT in a Ladder Match.

Rammsteinmad is VERY happy. WGTT at a PPV again. CHARLIE HAAS in a PPV match!!!

And a LADDER match with the Hardys. This match should be awesome.

Mr. Nerfect 05-29-2007 03:13 AM

That is some great news. Hopefully they use this as a chance to restore The World's Greatest Tag Team to the level of credibility they should be at.

A lot of people would be against this idea, as it is really random, but I would love to see William Regal & Dave Taylor win the WWE Tag Team Championship in the confirmed Triple Threat Match against Deuce & Domino and Paul London & Brian Kendrick on SmackDown!, and then have London & Kendrick added to the match, as well as Regal & Taylor. Hang up the two sets of belts separately, and have two decisions to the match. Haas and Benjamin win their first World Tag Team Championship, and London & Kendrick then win their second WWE Tag Team Championship.

Ben Rodrigues 05-29-2007 04:49 AM

I thought they said that all the matches at ONS would be under extreme rules. Has any match been announced under that? We've got a street fight and falls count anywhere match... but no mention of extreme rules.

M-A-G 05-29-2007 05:24 AM

Extreme rules just means there's no disqualifications. Are there DQs in cage matches, ladder matches, street fights, or falls count anywhere matches?

Yeah, I think that is what the WWE is trying to get at. The matches at One Night Stand will pit the participants against each other in matches where anything they do to each other is legal.

It's funny how TNA puts on so many gimmick matches, and gets shit for it, then the WWE does it and hardly anything is said. Is it because people expect crap from the WWE? Come on people, let's spread the hate!

Shaggy 05-29-2007 06:25 AM

I just laugh that the most exciting thing about the ppv was that the matches were gonna be under extreme rules....then they go off and make every match a gimmick match that already had no rules...

chrisat928 05-29-2007 06:28 AM

The fact that most of the gimmicks actually have a point to them, unlike TNA, where they seem to be tacked on.
Cena/Kahli: Pinfalls only, no submission because of JDs finish.
Lashley/Vince: Street Fight that will hopefully be the end of this feud and a way to get Vince off TV for awhile.
Hardys/WGTT: A ladder match with Jeff Hardy and Shelton Benjamin should be awesome.
Batista/Edge: Cage, because Batista is an animal and should be in a gorilla enclosure at the San Diego zoo.

Haha, I'm taking that last one is a joke. I'm not complaining about quality or anything here, but the Ladder Match stipulation kind of came out of nowhere. I was calling TLC last week when Haas, Benjamin, Nitro and Dykstra all got involved in the Hardys/Cade & Murdoch program, but I didn't expect it to be announced over WWE.com.

The Cena/Khali stip is also pretty weak. I mean, is every wrestler that gets a submission win going to get a second chance where submissions aren't legal? If anything, this match should have an instant replay option attached to it, or a second referee to make sure there are no overlooked rope breaks.

KingofOldSchool 05-29-2007 07:49 AM

And hear I thought you was talking about the Diva Pudding match that was announced.

Mr. JL 05-29-2007 11:21 AM

Nice!

Mercury Bullet 05-29-2007 11:21 AM

Should be a good match, PPV is still a worthless crapfest though.

PorkSoda 05-29-2007 11:50 AM

That should be a good match, the whole event will probably suck though.

I remember the first ONS the whole official card was about 2 days before the actual event. I remember people marking on here cause Masato Tanaka and Mike Awesome were gonna face off.

Hopefully, they'll do that this year. The only way it'll work though is if they announce a mystery opponent for Matt Striker. Then out comes freakin NEW JACK and he beats the shit out of Striker with pizza cutters and shoots him with a fuckin staple gun then taking a giant pencil adn sticking it up his ass  ITS CHAOS AND MAYHEM OH MY FRIGGEN GAAAAAAAAAAAAWD

Then during Lashley/Vince, Lashley spears Vince and then out comes RHYNO and he GORES Lashley. Then out comes Kevin thorn and Someone else, then out comes THE ELIMINATORS! TOTAL ELIMINATION! THEN HERE COMES MASS TRANSIT.........only to get his ass kicked again.

Volare 05-29-2007 12:00 PM

I can already see a sick spot by Shelton probbly with Jeff

Yeah, this should be good. I think if Vince drills the ECW name further with a shit PPV @ ONS, I'm gonan personally get on a plane over there and skull fuck him.

Xero 05-29-2007 01:19 PM

I can't believe they didn't make it a TLC match.

St. Jimmy 05-29-2007 03:39 PM

Hardys are past their prime, prepare to be dissapointed.

Stickman 05-29-2007 03:42 PM

Does anybody else find it funny that this is pretty much a MASSIVE card. All the champs facing off, yet it's going to suck ass because it's on WWECW.

Cuzziebro 05-30-2007 04:22 AM

You know what the funniest thing about the PPV will be, is the Non Title Womens Pudding Match. I know how gay this match is already but wouldn't you make it a title match just because its a PPV?

I think this is a smart move by the WWE. Candice Michelle is the lady they have lined up to challenge Melina next, but she isn't really ready at this point. Sure, a month or so isn't going to help her, but it can be used to build the fan support behind Candice even further.

Melina will probably try and dodge the match, only for Candice to strip her down and get her all mucky and win the match. Then she'll do her Go Daddy dance in it, and The King will act like it is the hottest thing he has ever seen.

I would so mark out if Jonathan Coachman came out just as this match was about to begin, and he reminds us that The Hardys were added to Paul London & Brian Kendrick's Ladder Match for the WWE Tag Team Championship at Armageddon last year, so he only sees it as fair that London & Kendrick get the opportunity to be added to this Ladder Match for the World Tag Team Championship.
