For (Professionals) who have taken Spike DDTs...
 

Was just watching the RVD RKO spot from last night and it was obvious he took it like a DDT. I'm wondering if the person giving the DDT supports the taker's shoulders or if they really do take it straight on the head/protected with their arms. Basically, the way he did it got me thinking if you normally could take a spike DDT sell like that without the other person.

You're really just using the other other guys body to support your self. He just has to bump. But to answer your question, yes you could give yourslef a DDT.

Yeah you could give yourself a DDT. In most (of my) ddts I try not to let the other persons head go past my arms (i.e. a piledriver/ and legs) but my ddts are sometimes shitty looking I'm sure, which is why I rarely use them. I take DDT's head on however.

I don't know I've always beena hella safe wrestler when it comes to the head region.
