I wonder what video games would have been like in each generation without Super Mario Bros.

2. Mediocre, a story/characters I don't care about, and I'm not a huge fan of the gameplay.

Now if it was Super Mario 64, that might be raised a bit.

4. It hasn't aged as well as other Mario games have.

I like Mario 1 better than Mario 3, tbh. Just barely, but I do.
