I couldn't find a real thread on this, so I'm making one.

It's status is filming right now. Spielberg is directing, Ford is starring, Lucas and David Koepp are providing the script/story.

New additions are Cate Blanchett, Shila Lebouf or whatever that kids name is, and today John Hurt was announced.
Sean Connery is confirmed to not be returning.

Thoughts? Speculation?

I'm pretty excited for this, even if I have doubts.

Nothing is known, but I'm thinking Soviets. I wonder what the search is for though...

It's pretty cool that they're planning on doing this movie with all practical effects and miniatures/opticals so that it meshes well with the originals. No CG.

They will use walkie talkies as guns.

I am glad Sean Connery is not going to be in this. Other than that I can't wait, I love the other Indiana Jones flicks.

I don't know why people expected Connery to be in this, anyway. Maybe a brief appearance would've been cool, but anything beyond that....

Just glad he isn't in the fucker at all to be honest. And I don't wanna hear any bullshit like they are gonna put Willie and that other whore in it either. Or even worse that Calista Flockhart is going to be the love interest.

Evil facist enemies (not Nazis, but the next best thing), check

I don't know why myself or anyone is doubting this will be good.

John Hurt as a soviet should be great. Soviets aren't confirmed, but its heavily believed and timewise this would be set 15 or so years after the originals, which would make it the 50s.

I love you. Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis. I am proud to have a copy. I don't know how many times I have played that game.

I say they cast Darrell Hammond as Sean Connery as Indie's father.

I say they just leave out Henry Jones entirely.

My point entirely, although lets face it, most of the prequel dialogue was still painfully bad
